I’m also having the same issue with the same kind of Durango a 3.6 and that dimming issue from the lights does happen and the dash flickers from time to time as well as the headlights and I’ve tried many many things and still haven’t been able to solve that issue

I believe I don’t have that auxiliary battery though and a mechanic has been saying it might be the fuse box but haven’t really figured out if that is the real issue

My 2015 Durango V6 will crank once, then the second time I press the button it starts up. The crank also seems slower than normal. Any idea what it could be?

First thing I would try is a voltage drop on your starter. Basically pick a negative or positive side (both really, different times) find two ground, like starter case and starter ground or something where you're on both sides of the starter. Put both leads on the same polarity. Otherwise you'll just read battery voltage. So while the starter is "between" your two neg or two pos leads, crank it. You should see less than 1 volt. If it's higher than that, you're losing power at your starter. If it shows 12 or 13v, that is 12 or 13 volts DROPPED at the starter. your battery can also show 12 volts but still be bad. Pull your battery off if the voltage drop doesn't isolate it and have it checked at a local parts store. The amperage is what cranks, not the voltage. Sorry for the delay I'm sure you don't need this anymore but it's still useful to know. I will say the first symptom of a bad cell is slow cranking. It needs load tested. They'll pull amps from it while they test it. Where a meter just shows what's available.

I have 16 Dodge Durango no power at all i replace the battery n still n tested the starter is Not

@arielcastro34 there is a fuse on the battery. Usually 100 to 150 Amp. It's B+ fuse or battery positive. Usually attached to the positive battery cable

It looks like power runs through the radio on that one . 25 Amp fuse in between. Find this fuse and check it. See if power to your starter or anywhere. Battery is good so make sure it's delivering those amps.

My 14 Durango starts but when I hit the gas the wipers come on and interior lights flash then car shortly dies. Any thoughts

Sounds a little like a pinched wire harness under the steering wheel. Pedal arm is grounding wires when it touches them, when you press the pedal. If you can find a wire schematic, find the bundle that contains wires for lights and wipers. Then trace it til you find the fault. I've seen it before but not same symptoms. The back hatch opening and closing was causing light issues.

Saw another video that had the same issue with a code. A part of the wiring harness became brittle from the heat and breaking leading to wires touching a heat area like a coolant hose and causing it to have the symptoms you mentioned.
