2014 Ducati 899 Panigale | Great Street or Track Bike?!

I've just bought one, purely as a weekend toy. I have a Street Triple R as a more sensible bike and I think the two compliment one another. I agree, the exhaust heat is brutal. When I test rode one it was a hot summer's day and the exhaust felt like it was burning my leg.

+TripleTorque Definitely not an every day commuter for sure. Good thinking on having it for a weekend toy - definitely a blast to ride in the corners!

Good info on the bike especially the cons on snatchy throttle and heat issue. If you were to recommend a bike for the backroad but as special as the Panigale with some track usage what would you suggest as an alternative to the 899?
