Eloy não toca metal extremo, toca thrash/groove metal, não exige tanta velocidade porém demanda bem mais coordenação e versatilidade do que o death metal. E as composições do Eloy no estilo em que ele toca são o que há de melhor no gênero atualmente.

here is what I don't understand, drumming like this should be self defeating, because a computer will always do better, once you get this fast all sense of human feel and groove is gone, all sacrificed for precision, so why even do it?

+Marvio Botticelli I think there are definitely moments in this set, and in George Kollias's playing in general, where you can still hear groove. It's definitely not the groove you'd associate with progressive metal drummers or jazz drummers but it's definitely got personality in it's own right... As to why do it, well I think a lot of it has to do with the music as a whole, but also what better reason than to prove that you don't need a machine, a human CAN do it.
