i like how you presented the infotainment, an attainment that could be very tricky and confusing for the non tech savvy or lay person. you went into each feature and explained it in a way hat the lay person could understand and benefit from it. when i am ready to buy my new Honda Accord hybrid, i will not need no lectures from the dealer sales person, because the best car teacher and automobileologiest (meaning person who studies cars) has already lectured me on the Honda Accord infotainment system #101. now i am ready to take his exam. and again thank you!

I owned a 2014 focus st and traded in this year for a 2015 accord Hybrid. I can tell you after having the my ford touch for almost 3 years that the Honda is definitely more sluggish and also less intuitive as you mentioned. I'm not sure where you got that the Ford is more sluggish. This is my biggest disappointment about the car actually. Otherwise amazing for fuel economy :)

Hello Alex, would you by any chance know if the iphone app "honda link navigation system" works for 2015 honda accord sport? that version of the car does not have the built in gps nor the secondary touch screen at the bottom unlike the touring

The navigation version is a different version of the car. I believe you would need an entirely new car.

Hi Alex, I have one question for your with regard this car. Given that the infotainment system and the adaptive cruise control are kinda inferior on this model, would you consider the EX-L trim a better deal than the touring trim?

I think the EX-L is better value, but the Touring does get you the snazzy full LED headlamps (fantastic lamps I have to say), navigation, XM Radio, the adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning and a snazzier backup cam. While I think the EX-L is the better value, the Touring is the model I would buy. I'd rather have a somewhat inelegant radar cruise system than none at all because I really value the pre-collision system.

Alex on Autos I have the EXL and it does have XM radio, Forward Collison warning and Lane Departure warning. I do not have adaptive cruise control.

David Eb The FCW system in the EX-L was a late addition to the Accord lineup and wasn't available when this video was shot. The EX-L system uses a camera to determine the location of the traffic in front of you while the Touring uses the radar sensor. In general the radar sensor is more reliable as fog, rain, bright sunlight and a dirty or foggy windshield won't interfere with the operation of the system.

Alex on Autos The FCW and the LDW does not work when "the mirror is hot." No kidding. Page 459 of the manual. I thought it was a joke. It's not. Also, the 2014 has switched to Goodyear Assurance tires that simply are very poor quality tires. No Michelin's unless you go to a V-6. The Goodyear tires are not for snow or ice and are noisy and harsh riding.

I'm unable to pause a song while in ipod mode...why? Also I'm not able to access trip B info on the trip computer screen. It only shows current drive and trip A info. Honda needs to be able to update this UI just like they do on phone apps. Other wise I love my honda accord hybrid!

Very buggy and massive latency certain times. MUST wait a while after engine startup to use the software properly. I have the common sense for it but what about my 74 year old father?

It has gotten mixed reviews. When I first say it I called it "half baked" myself but I have gotten used to it over time. While I still think that it isn't as well designed as Chrysler's uConnect or MyFord Touch, the Accord is still the car I would buy in this segment. The other features of the Accord win me over and even though I find some design choices in the system a little odd, it is something I can live with for the rest of what the Accord delivers.

The Camry has a much better stereo / infotainment system. The new exterior designs of the Camry are very ugly (front looks like a Baleen whale) The 4 cylinder is also very weak on the Camry.

I own a 2014 Honda Accord Touring. The split screen really isn't an issue. I prefer it over the camry. Also, if the phone sounds bad over Bluetooth, it's because of the settings of your phones sound system or the car's.
