2014 Honda CBR 250R 10 years Ownership Review | Review In Hindi

I owned a CBR for 9 years. Rode it all over India- when I moved abroad, gave it to a friend after having clocked 2,66,000 kms. I guess the issues faced usually differs from bike to bike which is surprising for a Honda. 2000 kms service interval is surprising- officially it was 6000 kms. Never had vibration, shifting or heating issues (compared to the terrible heating of the KTMs). Trusting the motor, I have experimented a lot with engine oils. The best I have found might surprise you, but it was the Shell Rimula diesel engine oil (Google for the exact grade) which works well at keeping the vibrations down. I neglected the bike big time and ran it only on oil and oil filter change that too at time extending for 10,000 kms- I would service it maybe once in 50,000 kms and replace the spark plugs too which had a long change interval. On my Mumbai to Spiti ride, a rock burst open the coolant reservoir and I was running without coolant for days without even noticing. And not many would believe, on touring ride between 100-110 and you'd a kpl figure on either sides of the 40 mark. Issues with major bikes I noticed was the coneset- that people had to replace prematurely. The trick was too tighten it at the slightest of play and then it would settle down to a level where you don't even need to care. Also my bike was cursed with the alternator and I had to replace 3 during my ownership. Being reckless, I had my first engine block piston change at 1,75,000 kms (due to not checking the oil for really long) along with the clutch plates which were absolutely stock at that time. One hell of a reliable motorcycle it was. One could find faster and more flashy looking motorcycles- but the CBR250R was one machine whom you could trust with your eyes closed and it would never let you down. I had written an ownership report at 1,25,000 kms way long back. Bro i have ridden my bsv4 cbr from Srinagar to qazigund 90 distance in plain highway between 80 to 100 kmph i got accurate avrage in 2 liters 100.4 km with power petrol Mere bag mai 2 liters petrol ke 2 bottels thi aur jhaan halka fuel pump ne jatka deya whein pe maine petrol dala Aur city mai mughe 3 se 5 gear mai 29.2 Ka avg dete pyaar se chalake gear change in 3.5k rpm ke saath Over all fuel consumed from seinagar to bhaderwah town 255 kms in just 5.6 liters jis mai highway 90kms with soeed between 80 to 100 and rest distance 165 kms totally up and down hills with speed between 40 to 70 kms i got near about avg 44.6 thats all

As long as temperature meter remains at 3 bars and your radiator fan starts regularly, then don't worry about it. But if the temp bar is crossing 3 bars, then it is a problem.
