I have this bike and personally I can say it has its ups and downs. I like the handling -and the smoothness of the bike , especially in tight corners and ruts. It could always have more hp though , I like how the bike can be ridden by all experience levels but the bike still needs more power. And my only complaint with the dual exhaust is that I have to buy an extra spark arrestor XD . But overall , I'd give this bike a thumbs up.

honda is awesome and the new 4 strokes can beat the 2 strokes! :) hondas are easy to repair and very reliable i have had one for 15 years now its a 1999 honda 200 xr

as much a love the CR's, honda never actually set out to build 2 strokes, and they maintained their main focus was always four strokes, despite building some of the most iconic 2 strokes bikes out there.

Actually, i think it will be an option, you if you order the bike you can get a triple airclamp fork or a standard spring fork.

when i go to buy a bike i will generally make sure i dont have to keep spending money on it so it doesn't look worn out after a period of time. Ill generally pick a bike that holds its value. But yes good bikes comes down to personal preference

No, towards the end of each year they produce the next year up bike so you can pretty much buy a 2014 crf 250R when its still late 2013.

Just a thought, but how is it that a much more complex, heavier, more expensive dirtbike which average guys can't even afford to put an after market exhaust on, are new and improved? This is why my money now goes to KTM for not quitting on 2 strokes.

I didnt say it was the best bike (in my opinion it is and will win the shootout) i said they hold there value the best. And you could stick RV on just about any bike and he would get wins. Most of em on that team like the bike but love the team/support even more. But the past few years Honda has either won over kawi or tied. I think this year Honda will succeed. But thats my opinion and that is your opinion.

I'm just tossing this out there, Honda is a 4 stroke engine company(And contributed to killing the 2 stroke market), not exactly a cost efficient engine when it comes to repairs and maintenance such as top end rebuilds. The cr250 was a great bike. Shame it's discontinued. Pricey as they are, KTM is one of the few companies continuing to develop 2 stroke engines, which are much easier to maintain on your own and cheaper in general.

Im going to say it, the 4 strokes are better, i currently ride a yz 250 2 stroke and have ridden the 2013 honda crf250r, the power isnt the same, but the power is more usable, 4 strokes are better, they will not bring back 2 strokes.

oh and i could easily debate with you to why honda is not the BEST bike! Kawasaki is by far the Best brand of motorcycles, especially in the motocross industry, they have so much more technology and progression to offer to the sport. they brought out the SFF forks, DUAL fuel injection, plus many more things i could add if i needed to. not to mention the amount of titiles and championships the brand has behind them.....

Honda please see reason, get rid of the dual exhaust, and put the air forks on it. So much weight gained while using and not using these systems. The bike could be so light, and the suspension could be so adjustable. The bike is good, but you do this and it could be perfect.
