I have a 2014 also. Black is faster naturally but blue is my 2nd favorite. I have Corbin seat too. I went for touring backrest. I agree the highway pegs that mount to engine plate will be better. I don’t run a windscreen but it’s not too windy up here in West Texas. It’s great to find a fellow Valkyrie rider! We’re few and far between.

Willis McVean thanks! The Valkyrie lineup has always been one of my favorites. That 1500cc carbureted bike is fast as hell! Just picked up a 2014 myself in black (the fastest color), with 108 miles on it for $8500. What a beast! I like the stock sound, having never been one to care much for noise. As a CTX rider also, I find the bars just a little too short and I have to lean forward more on this one. I really don't see the "boobs" thing. Honda designed it to look like the shoulders of a raging bull, which is how I see it. And the Corbin seat is not to my liking. I think the stock seat looks way cool. To me, the Corbin seat looks like a whale's underside. It just doesn't flow visually like the stock. There isn't a lot of room on the bars for accessories, so you have to choose wisely. Once you have a windshield mounted, it only leaves room for a phone mount and maybe one other thing. I have my X-grip and a windshield, and now I want to put on a power port and a cup holder and it's going to be a challenge. But this is one awesome bike. I know the looks are polarizing but I think it looks killer, like a streetfighter. You don't find this kind of speed and torque on too many bikes, and the bike will take on just about any other motorcycle, except those that are built for pure speed. It will even beat many Porsches. Safe riding and keep giving us videos of your rides and mods!
@BigSmittyRiding4 жыл бұрын
Thanks and you are right these bikes are amazing! I’m so used to loud bikes that I just had to play with the exhaust. And the stock seat hurt my back way to much. Quite a few people like it but I just wasn’t comfortable. Thanks for the comment and it’s nice to see another Valkyrie rider out there!

@BigSmittyRiding3 жыл бұрын
Drilled from the slip on. Started with a 1/4” starter hole in the dummy piles and then went to a 1/2”. There’s 2 sets in each dummy pipe to drill out. The first one gets pretty good sound. Behind it you will find a 2nd backing plate to drill through. Same routine as the first. Some people only drill one of the 2 backing plates out and it sounds much better than stock. I drilled both because I’m just an odd ball... but I like how it sounds with them both drilled out.
