That hydraulic fluid is wonderful for skin, I've heard women actually purchase it to use. The hydraulic fluid that's used in these tractors is made out of corn or something I think but when I sold it I know the parts person was telling me about this

Unfortunately the damaged housing material is aluminum and the magnet won't pick it up

What caused that? Bad design my friend! They don't make the new 2 series rear ends this way anymore.

Why trade it in? it's barely broken in. My B1750 HST Kubota i bought brand new in 1995 with loader, backhoe, tiller and 72 inch drive over mower deck plus a full set of turf tires. I have 23,207.4 hours on it and half of that is backhoe and loader work. I'm just about done clearing 5 acres of wood and stumps with it and I have had no problems with it other than oil changes, set of Ag tires front and rear that was worm out and broken hydraulic lines that was my fault and it still runs like new.

Pretty sure it was just a failed cage. If the balls would've came out of the bearing, you would have broken gears and/or broken housing. Plus it would most likely lock that wheel really good.

yes. I believe it was just cage too. not sure why though.

@@billstmaxx JD kinda cheaped out and went with ball bearings. It's not a matter of if but when. The other side will be the next one. That application really demands tapered roller bearings, which can take side and radial loads a lot better than ball bearings.

Something doesn't make sense. The oil you drained out was red. The only red oil is the original factory fill. All Hy-Gard has a yellow tint unless you add the JD red dye back in. So how could you have changed it before?

Bill, next time you need to pour oil from a 5 gallon bucket, try pouring it with the spout at the top if it's full. It will pour easier.
