I think the Kia Sorrento and it's corporate cousin Hyundai Santa Fe Sport are more Mid-Size. I understand why they compare Sorrento/Santa Fe Sport to Rav4, In terms of base price they are pretty close together. When I think "Compact", I think RAV4, Escape, CRV, Sportage, CX-5. The Santa Fe Sport, Sorrento, Murano, Ford Edge are Mid-Size. The Equinox/Terrain and the new Nissan Rogue could be a "tweener.."

AutoTrader.com How would you compare the Kia Sorento to it's counterpart the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport? I test drove both and I feel Kia has the better interior and felt more upscale. What do you think?

The Rav4, CX-5 and CR-V are all Small/Compact SUV's. The Kia Sportage would compete with them I thought? The Kia Sorento will compete with the Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, and Toyota Highlander.

You're right -- the Sportage is a 3-row crossover SUV. And your comparisons with Pilot, Explorer, Highlander, Dodge Journey and corporate cousin Hyundai Santa Fe would be more worthy.
