We have picked the first generation of the KTM Duke 390 which has done over 50,000 kms on the odo. This motorcycle is 6 years old and it has never had an engine overhaul till date. So after so much time has the power dropped drastically or should we get the normal drop on power and torque?

I don't think it's Faisal's KTM DUKE 390. I remember he had Apollo tyres with custom rim paint. Won't the more threaded tyres maximize the power loss ? I wish you could have done for the BS-3 Duke 390 dyno test even more properly.

Tyres are not stock ones, these are high profile off-road tyres...which adds more unsprung mass...which in turn will decrease acceleration and milage...and is one of the reason of that much power drop on dyno...! Do it with stock tyres...power drop will be very less than this...!

Man oh man, I have replaced 3 rear tyres, 2 sprocket, 4 times head cover leakage problem, exhaust camshaft replacement, 2 times coolant in engine leakage, abs motor malfunction which they have quoted me 25000, 2 times sprocket. Bike have completed approx 26000 kms.

For some reason I don't like the tyres on that Duke , too many buttons ,may not stick like it should have been with metzellers ! There can still have a power gain with the proper tyres.i think at the wheel the bs3 Duke can get around 38 hp

it's difficult to find one with less kms clocked. if clocked more than 25 or 30k kms you should probably replace valves and block. that shouldn't trouble you for another 20 to 25k kms.
