Just bought a 2016 Mazda 3 that's right in between the I sport and I touring a month ago. I didn't even want to buy it. I wanted to buy my 2012 Mazda 3 skyactiv out of the least but I'll be damned if I didn't say I'm so glad I bought the new Mazda. There's so many things in that car that I never knew I wanted or I suppose needed out of a car. It is definitely beyond awesome

Fantastic review as always. A couple of weeks ago my 2009 BMW 328i was totaled by a truck. I loved that thing, man. It was modded to hell and everything. Was obviously upset, but then I discovered these. This exact Mazda is what I eventually (and rather quickly) decided on as replacement. I was already crazy about this car once finding it, but the more detailed info presented here somehow made me want one even more. I've only ever driven a 2000's car so I'm very excited to experience newer tech. Can't wait to pick mine up!

These are truly underrated cars. Of all the Japanese brands (not counting the luxury brands) Mazda is the most appealing of them all. They are the best looking out there, none of them look like the appliances Toyota and Honda make or aren't hideous like Nissans, you can get them loaded with gizmos like Bose sound systems and rain sensing wipers, and they are truly a blast to drive. I always try to shoot for a Mazda when I rent a zipcar.

I'm glad Mazda made this gen 3 more refined, my grandma has a 2011 3i and it feels like it's cheaply built. I still love it though. Good work Kyle!!

The best part about the infotainment system is that it didn't lag at all during the demo. The amount of luxury cars that can't tout that is insane.

Great video! My Dad just recently picked a 2014 3i almost exactly similar to this one. He got it in the deep blue colour though. Compared to my 2005 3i, it is so much smoother, quieter, and more refined. I still love my 3 though.

Mazda should do coupe versions of the Mazda3 and Mazda6. I wouldn't mind the MX-3 and MX-6 names coming back since no one remembers them anyways. Plus it is weird that the MX-5 is the only MX line offered.

Uncrowned, I own the manual transmission version and just traded in a Mazda6 (2012) with an auto transmission and (for me) it wasn't as fun having the auto. On the other hand, if you're not confident about your ability to drive a stick, you should probably just stay with the auto. It's not bad and more convenient for most ppl in most situations. Just my two cents, though. If I had to do it again, having driven the i Grand Touring and the S Touring (manual), I would have opted for the auto with more features. Driving a stick is fun but this car is so loaded with stuff that it sort of balances out the driving experience with an auto. Plus, it just drives so well naturally that you don't really NEED to have the manual transmission to have fun. Just my two cents, though. Best of luck with the purchase. Either way you shouldn't be disappointed!

medirs probably way too late but there really isn’t too many differences between them. In 2017, they did a mild refresh that I’d definitely recommend. I’ve owned a 2016 3 and now a 2018. What did you end up getting?
