I got a black 2014 iSport hatchback back in 2015 brand new - so the most barebones Mazda 3 you could get. I've had it for almost 10 years now, and only put about 75k miles on it. But it still drives like an absolute dream, and is still BONKERS FUN up until this very day! I have so much fun bullying a lot of fast drivers on the NJ, PA, & NYC highways around me🤣 While I will never be able to literally keep up with most cars on the road, you'll still catch me blast 80+ mph on the highways often, blasting by most drivers. The car only really "feels" slow when you're trying to accelerate. But when you're already flying fast, and you still feel how much control you have with this car, that's how you know you are driving an incredible machine ❤ I feel bad that I want to trade mine in for the new Mazda 3 Turbo....

@kasevr4 жыл бұрын
Theres not too much to say honestly, the mileage and maintenance has been what you would probably expect. around 30mpg as advertised and nothing but regular maintenance. The only flaws with the interior are the center console armrest hinge which breaks easily and some creaks and rattles.

I have never owned a Mazda, although I do like the design of the models,..here where I live, it just seems that the one dealer in my area, is not 'hungry' enough for business, and friends I have, find the same 'feeling' when we visit the dealership,...strange! ( but that's a local issue here, I know ) This '3' as shown here, (owned by Case) has the right color to attract and add to it's looks, it is too bad it's not equipped with a manual transmission,.....but that 2.5 engine is apparently, bullet proof. My 2015 Mazda 3 Grand Touring i Soul Red hatchback looks like yours without the add-ons. My quick review. I chose the 2.0 engine. It's pretty peppy and doesn't leave me wanting. The gas mileage is very good. I've never re-set the gas mileage meter since new and it says 34.3 MPG and that's with all sorts of driving. The Soul Red looks good but scratches easily. The original Yokohama tires got super noisy around 30,000 miles and the upgraded Yokohama tires I installed quieted things down. The command knob must be used for navigation, radio etc when driving and it's a pain. You must navigate through a long list of "favorites" you set up to find your station among all sources. Much scrolling. All told though, it's great handling, handsome and reliable car with great gas mileage.

My 2014 is on its second transmission. Due to a manufacturing defect, most automatic transmissions of this year experience bearing failure in the differential, and begin making a loud whining noise that is speed dependent. I have had a few issues with my mazda 3 that the dealership refused to fix for free in spite of the warranty. Currently there's my tensioner that needs fixing, mazda fixed it for free about a year and a half ago, but the same issue is happening and now they want $800 to fix it. There's also my starter motor that they say is noisy and reccomend that I change at the "low" price of $550. Last year I changed my serpentine belt at mazda for the "cheap" price of $650. I love my mazda and the way they drive and always drive it very conservatively, but for the sake of my pocket, my next car will be a toyota.
