I'm performing a simple job and suggesting tips to do the best job you can. You can torque the drain bolt with a new crush washer to 20 ft. lbs. If you have any suggestions, please share with everyone under the comments. Thanks for watching!

very good video.....tip; my mustang is lowered, and instead of spending money on a low profile jack, i just drive up on a couple of thick boards so the jack I have easily slides under the car. This also makes it easier to see where I'm placing my jack.

I always went to dealer until my service plan ran out. I didn’t know I needed a new oil plug gasket. Great.

Oil filter is in the dumbest location. I finally stopped having shops do my oil changes and here's what I noticed. I only have two screws holding up the panel. One was lost. Also my connectors under the filter are covered in oil spill. Shops charge a LOT and do a terrible job.

Why you using 3 drain pans? Buy a pan big enough to hold 8 qrts

Isn't 5w30 better in warmer weather? I thought 5w20 is for cold weather like in Canada 🇨🇦

Is this a v8 mustang with an oil cooler? And if so, do you just add all the oil the same way or do you need to fill the cooler some way? Or will the engine circulate it through the cooler on its own? Thanks for the video. Especially the jack points information.

Hello. Is their a way to check your oil percentage on a 2014 PREMIUM GT? My car is saying oil change required, but there is no oil service light on the dash, the oil isn’t low or dirty in the car either. I have gone through the premium display and I can’t find anything related to oil percentage.

Have you reset the oil life?

When the oil change required message is shown, the percentage is below 5%. On the premium display there is a menu point called „information“ and there you can find „oil life“ or something like that. But it is only viewable when the oil percentage is more than 5%.

I forget but i can tell you in the morning... hit the set up button on the steering wheel and when you get to oil life hold the reset button. Should do that at the time of each oil change. It's def over 3,000 miles. Which i always go over but I use full synthetic.

Unless you like gambling your life use jack stands. Its better to pay $40 for them than to get crushed

I go 1/2 turn after it begins to seat and just a bit more. That way you can get it off with your bare hands, never have had an issue.

Use AMSOIL. It's much better than Purple.

Way overkill. Penzoil Platinum/Ultra Platinum is more than good enough and literally $60 less for an 8 qt oil change than amsoil.

@@DJ-kk3co It has no purpose other than pump engine noise inside the cabin. Deleting it will free up space for maintenance.
