On the injectors the leak off test checks the condition of the spool valve. Its important because too much leaking means the pump cant hold the common rail at the right pressure. The reason they can pass that and the engine still wont start is because the nozzle is worn and not giving a fine spray that can ignite easily, or at all. Fuel does have very fine grit in it which is why injectors degrade over time so you are spot on in your attention to filters. Thanks for another fun video and good result.

Rob I spent 35 years in the military in the field of vehicle maintenance and worked on everything from motorcycles to main battle tanks in both workshop environments and sunny deserts ! I’m now heading towards retirement and am inspired by your videos to do something similar as my retirement hobby albeit on a very very much smaller scale. Amazing that the cost of 4 new injectors is as much as paid for the van. You MUST value your time correctly in the work and time you guys put in OR you are working for nothing. You are selling your skill, knowledge and also take into account the cost of your garage, yard and equipment. Great video again. I am always eager to see the next one.

These 1.3 Doblo’s tend to smoke during DPF regeneration for about 30 seconds then clear. Great video’ Rob 👌

Are they Bosch injectors fitted to these vans? I'm really surprised they fail so quickly because back when i was employed by a competitor manufacturer the then standard Euro 4 injectors where expected to last 500,000 miles.

I had a combo and had starting problems when engine was warm nothing showed on diagnostics and yes it was injectors the guy who does my mechanising diagnosed it the old fashioned way .(used his experience.) It went through 3 accelerator switches during the 9 years I had it. Great video again your positive attitude is really uplifting!!!

A well equipped 2014 van with only 103K, a new clutch and new injectors, for less than 4000Pounds is a helluva bargain for someone!

Wish everyone was as genuine as you, you could easily get a set of used injectors for couple of hundred pounds and get it to a running point and flog it on for £4000 but no you spend a small fortune to get the veichles immaculate and sell under market value. Well done rob

Yes absolutely you can't bodge jobs with reconditioned injectors it like buying a renewed phone its just not as good as a new one. No good doing the job if you don't do it properly well done boys

Is that an old HA van in the corner? I bought an old ex-Post Office van years ago (R reg) and the clock said 30,000 miles. I thought it had been adjusted but then under the seat I found the postie's log book - every day, every single 5 mile trip was recorded! Great van.

I notice van mileage is always a lot higher than car mileage for obvious reasons but where a 103K miles is a good van a saloon car at 103K would be regarded as knocking on a bit. Q. Why are they regarded differently? Are vans built differently for a longer reliability?

I remember years ago ( iam a spark ) I use to buy Ford Fiesta vans cheap from bt .. bought quite a few the last one I bought was a 1.8 deisel 98/99 cannot remember now but only paid 350 at the time kept it 2 years had 91,000 on it sold it for 550 lol ..about 2002
