So helpful. Completed my install this weekend and went smoothly.

Man am I glad I don’t need to do that. My GTS had the hitch and wiring connector already in place. I only had to install the trailer 7 pin connector with the hinged cover. I also purchased the 7 to 4 pin adapter. I tested the 4 pin adapter trailer lights, brake lights and turn signals. They work as expected. I have yet to test the full function of the 7 pin trailer connector on my Winabego. I am concerned about trailer braking since there is no brake controller that I can find in the GTS Dash. My 2015 TOUREG has a connector under the dash to add one.

You Need a Brake controller Installed on the Porsche to Activate the trailers brakes. Adding a 7 way "socket" to the factory tow harness did not give you access to electronic brake control. If your vehicle had The quick connect to add a 7 way socket, then the brake controller adapter should be present under the dash, but likely hidden. Anyone has the correct wiring color? Mine seems different. Maybe because it’s diesel?

This is pretty bad especially on the power wiring. proper way would be staying in the cabin- and going inside and to the actual battery under drivers seat.

Took it to a U-Haul place in Richardson Texas and they wouldn’t do it. Told me the dealer had to do the install
