Good work. Just a lil note, the heat in the clutch cover will be a lil hotter due to having the heat to travel further and restricting air flow. Addiing a attwood 3000 bilge blower on exhaust clutch cover side will fix heat issue. Also " blow hole" makes a good blower as well. They suck out the heat on the clutch exhaust side very well. God bless and enjoy

looks really good. I'm going to use the exact same 45 to 90 to 45 cut. I've been looking for ideals for the tips. Im going to run a 4th pvc pipe and shove all my vents in there.

Awesome! Do you happen to have a list of the couplings, pipes and stuff needed? My main problem with projects like this is having to run back to home depo because I need something else
@pilotoelguapo7 жыл бұрын
Looks good. I would radius the notch in you rear window the same as the radius of your PVC pipes so it doesn't crack at that 90 degree corner. I would also tap into the PVC pipe below the bed and attach the other small vents there. That will give you a much cleaner more professional look.

at 5:10 you talk about that breather hose. i just cut it and ran to separate breather hoses realizing the one from the air box does nothing. The other one seams like its an exhaust hose pushing a lot of air out of the hose i ran. is that ok?
@carefulcasey5435 жыл бұрын
I don’t understand why he messed with that hose at all. It’s designed to use the air box vacuum to draw the crank case pressure out. If the air box is snorkeled, then that circuit is as well. I don’t think it hurt anything but I don’t see where it gained anything either

@eacardoc1, I have another questions for you man, what is the product you use to seal between the engine and the belt case? The one in the tube? Is that the same silicon grease you used on the outer seal?
@eacardoc18 жыл бұрын
I used "the right stuff" which is made by permatex. It is a very good silicon gasket sealant. Almost too good though, after making this video I found an oil leak and had to pull the engine to repair it. it was very hard to get the back belt cover off the engine without breaking it because it was sealed so well. I used a silicone grease for the outer cover so it would be easily removable when you need to get to the belt.

Since the snorkel install have u notice the belt getting hotter than normal?
@eacardoc18 жыл бұрын
No, I haven't had any problems with mine. I don't know if it's true or not but a lot of people believe adding snorkels keeps your belt cooler because when you raise the snorkel air intake aren't sucking in the hot air from the engine anymore.... makes sense to me because you know how hot the area behind your seats get in the summer...

Car doc - when you reinstalled the clutch cover back plate did you torque all six fasteners to 12 ft lb? 3 on drive and 3 on driven clutch
@eacardoc19 жыл бұрын
To be honest I didn't torque them, I just went by feel. My service manual does say 12 foot pounds but thats way too much for the little screws on the primary (engine) side. 12 foot pounds would snap them right off.....

DOES NOT WORK OUT ON THE 2008 RZR 800. Nice video but does not work on the 08. Same idea but you will need different fittings and lengths of pipe. Trust when I say this as I made about 5 trips to HD and Lowes. One more trip for a second 22.5 fitting and I should be done. I will try and have a video up at some point with parts list for the 2008 RZR 800 (This is a 50 inch RZR).
