1. Also remember to remove the brake cap from the brake fluid Reserve. Before pushing the Pistons back. 2.Is it better to use a C-clamp have to push back the Pistons. 3. Do not let the caliper hang use a wire and hang it out the way.

maybe it is better for the C-clamp but if you don't have one, using the leverage available is a pro move. (if you're careful). Agree with the caliper hanging as that could cause damage.

Not only did he let it hang freely, but he dropped it full dead weight × 5 with gravity and velocity. That was also the most corner cutting halfass workmanship by someone who clearly doesn't care about a job worth doing is a job worth doing right. Oh, you can sure learn some things by watching this one.

Dude , you just violated one of the basic rules in brake replacement, just dropped the caliper and dangling off the rubber brake hose.. lol

Thats definitely not a 2014 corolla tho, that body style ended on 2013. Car in video is a 2013 or sold as a 2014 while being made from mid to late 2013. Being a mass produced economy vehicle with tried and true reliability, the platform is not changed by much from the previous gen. Infact since 2003 (E120 corolla) the engine and chassis is very similar 2ZZ-FE 1.8 in US models was switched to 2ZR FE on E140 corollas made from 2009. That engine is till powering corollas being made today in 2024. All in all the brake and suspension components are still the same. Transmission switched to CVT from torque converter 4 speed since 2014.

I totally agree with other comments. NEVER LET THE CALIPER HANG BY THE RUBBER BRAKE HOSE!! Get a piece of coat hanger wire and hang the caliper up. ALSO, REPLACE ALL SPRING HARDWARE! The old spring plates are usually rusted. I also did not see the tech lube the the spring channels for the brake pads. NOT A GOOD VIDEO for doing the job right!!
