Yogi. There are 4 ways to disengage the cruise control. Front brake, rear brake, cruise button, or you can roll the throttle forward to discharge the cruise.

Yeah I don’t think I did a video on that yet. I have replaced a bunch but haven’t made a video yet. It’s not too hard to do.

Great video, but after reading the comments I took my switch assembly apart and located the spring. I measured the spring and it was 7/8” I then stretched it to 1”-1 1/16” reassembled it and everything works like new. Time was 20 minutes and it cost nothing. Free!! Hope this helps others. Save the almost $300

The $285 is not that bad when you think it was all the control switches for both sides. Bad that only one was bad but all have to be replaced. I though 285 was just one side. Interesting they only come back lit. If your looking for the switch in the dark maybe there are other issues. Wonder if some guy who "had enough" figured out how to repair the integrated switch. My thought is those switches would be in a do not discard box.

Best way to kill the cruise is to use the roll off switch. Twist throttle in opposite direction and it kills cruise.

2016 CVO limited and my brake lights stay ON constantly! I have tried moving both brake levers to get the lights off but I cannot get the brake lights to turn OFF. And of course because the brake light is on the cruise will not work. Any suggestions? Should I go to the front or rear switch first?

It’s possible the button is stuck on the front switch. I would take that apart and rule that out first. Generally if one of those goes out it won’t have the light stay on it will not make contact and it won’t come on at all. Staying on makes me think it’s stuck. Flip side my buddies road king had that issue also and it was his rear brake light switch. Once we unplugged it and the light went out we found the issue. Really you can start either place and Murphy’s law will be it will be the opposite of what you start on lol.

@@YogisCycleService I have an error code for rear brake switch, but my rear switch is located behind the master cylinder!! I have been searching for an hour trying to find a how to video on what all has to be removed to change this switch all to no avail! Every video I find is like yours, back by the trans! HELP please!

I believe if you tap the clutch handle it will disengage the cruise too.

It's easy fix if don't want to spend the money usually it's a weak spring in the actual switch most of the time

I’m interested in your weak spring repair. I’m having this problem. It started while on a trip and a HD shop fixed it because they didn’t have the switch. It lasted about a day and did it again. IDK what they did?

2015 street glide key on have constant power to rear right blinker and brake same side help tested everything back to relay

I had a check engine light on my 2016 CVO Limited so I took it to the dealer since I had an extended warranty. He found the brake switch bad.
