Does the Viper TA accelerate any faster from like 0-160 than the more basic SRT Viper or SRT Viper GTS?

Love this car, it took an $800,000 Porche to beat it's time around the Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway last year. Incredible that this is under $150,000. American engineering has made a triumphant return in this price bracket. Now I'm hearing that the 2016 Viper will be force inducted? It better be built on the TA's platform because that is going to push the whp close to 800... The ZO6 is incredible as well and handles better (if only I knew from experience). Lots to love about our cars right now. Lots to look forward to as well.

***** Easy answer to that is because they are cheaper. The wealthy buy cars that gain them status, Vettes and Vipers don't turn heads in communities that have gullwings. We do sell plenty of Corvettes by the way. You're missing the magic of our super cars by thinking they need to cost more and be more extravagantly outfitted. It is precisely that they are not outfitted gaudily and posh that makes them special. We build performance cars for drivers who appreciate that performance at a cost tag less than half of the competition's. It shouldn't be hard to see what is impressive here. It certainly shouldn't require explanation. If you want hot rock massages while getting a BJ from your secretary on the way to your wife's political rally then there are many $200,000+ roadsters for you. If you want raw performance riding solo West down I70 while the sun sets on the Rocky Mountains we have many cars just East of there waiting for you :)

***** One more thing, for an extra $120,000+ I expect winning numbers. Any mildly reasonable consumer does. I don't care which track they hang out at. That is the point of their existence, no? That they are the fastest cars on the planet. But they aren't, despite the hugely exorbitant price tag on exotic super cars. Truth is that our super cars don't hang out on the Laguna. That's half the country away from where we develop them. We just go there to crush exotic super cars :) Well, that last sentence was true last year at least for the Viper TA. It isn't always and shouldn't always be true for how little our cars cost comparatively.

***** There is a lot of incorrect facts here man. First of all 1980s race cars were under duress just like production cars were to be more economic with their fuel consumption. They were and are not faster than today's super cars....... Jesus, I don't want to spend the time dismantling everything but buddy, you gotta get your message straight. What the hell does a dipshit in a Lambo have to do with Dodge and its Viper? The outset of Viper wasn't to make money but to make a statement. They have their money makers elsewhere and GM has made tons of dough from Corvette. Viper is a specialty car as much as super car. It is for the 1 in a million buyer and that is about how many they sell. My point was if I pay a six figure premium it better be faster around the track. It wasn't last year. All my message consists of, generally, is that we should be proud of the American engineers who built last year's TA. It is a major accomplishment. It isn't often we build something faster for half the price, it's actually pretty rare. The foreign car fan boys went nuts when the Viper outpaced EVERYTHING around Laguna Seca. I can still hear them crying softly in the distance.... bwahahaha
