I really want Yao to claim her first ever world title, especially on Bars. She has world class difficulty and consistency but lacking a little bit of luck, I thought. She is a marvellous bars worker, hopefully she hits her routine this time, especially without the Mo she still can maintain her D-score at 7.0/7.1

I believe she has said she should be back in time for worlds as long as everything goes to plan but only on beam and bars. Ksenia Afanasyeva and Grishina I believe are the only ones who will definitely miss worlds.

warrior-skyscraper do you know whats happening with Sarah Finnegan? I was hoping that she would be able to challenge for a spot on the US worlds team. or do you know any other notable injuries from gymnast? how's the romanian team looking? is isbaza still competing?

agators212 Izbasa is not compiting anymore (at least she is not included in the gymnastics team from 2014, but never know, strange things happen in that team). From the "old" seniors I see only Diana Bulimar and Larisa Iordache, the other names seem pretty new to me. But in the last time everything is chaotic there, coaches leave and come (Belu announced a couple of months ago that he leaves again, I wouldn't be surprised if Bitang leaves at a certain point as well as they are married), gymnasts the same. It was the dumbest idea to move the coaching to Bucharest....Well, new times, new gymnasts, new countries. For me Romania won't be very soon one of the favorites.

Interesting.. I'll put my stats up. You have really interesting AA, UB, BB, and FX selections, and I'm curious why you chose it. I wanna know the reasoning behind it. If I sound obnoxious, I'm sorry in advance. Haha! I just love reading other people's perspective! :) Here's mine: Team: US- 45% China 32% Russia 13% Romania 10% Reasoning: US is strong on vault. Depending on Gowey's progress, they'll either have 1 or 2 Amanars, either way, their DTYs can score really well. Usually they do. Bars: Superb on bars, which is surprising. Kocian, Ross, and Locklear should absorb China's high SVs on bars. Especially if they go clean. Beam: Biles, Ross, and Gowey should contribute well on beam. Especially Ross and Biles. Gowey is lovely to watch, flexible, and artisitc, but she's not really tested on the international stage yet. Floor: Only Biles can score really high, I'm guessing north of the 15s, Ross has low SV, but she's clean and can hit when needed, also Nichols is reliable and consistent. And if Gowey can clean up her 3.5 twist, US should be fine on florr.

warrior-skyscraper China is right behind the US with 32% because of China's bars and beam, and US's new seniors. Though the US are known to be consistent, we still can't assume that Gowey(she fell once and was not credited on her 3.5 twist on floor) or Kocian or Locklear won't crack under pressure. Other than that, China weak on floor, and so-so on vault. Their bars should be their biggest scorer. Russia and Romania are very close with Russia at slight advantage, but not by much. Romania lost Bulimar which is a huge loss for the team, and the Romanians are relatively young team, which can either be bad or good, and so far, good since they won the Europeans. Russians lack floor and vault in my opinion. 3 DTYs that averages around 14.5-14.7, which is good, but I have a feeling, and most of the time my feeling is right, that Russia will crack on Team Finals. Their good in beam, but I've seen Kharenkova and Mustafina really botched their beam routines this year with wobbles and missed connections. Romania is traditionally strong on vault and floor, and they are coming in with confidence because they won the Euros this year. I would say that, Russia and Romania should battle it out for bronze. One might of them, probably Romania would take the silver, if China bombs miserably.

Some wishfull thinking, does anyone think Jonna Adlerteg (Sweden), has a chance to reach the UB final? She only got 14.266 with 6.0 in D-score in UB quals. at euros this year, I felt that she was underscored, atleast compared to Iordache's Qualifying(piibunina has videos of them both at qualifying). But she has upgraded to 6.4. swegymnastics had a video up of her new routine, she messed up her Pak, but if she does it cleanly, do you think she has a chance to reach the final?:)

Yesss another Swedish gymnastics fan!!! I think Jonna has a fair chance at bar finals, and I also believe that Emma Larsson could reach floor finals...Both of their new routines are exquisite to watch

Emma's floor routine from the Swedish Cup was AMAZING and if Aldertag hits her bar sets the Swedes could have two gymnast in the finals!!!! Larsson also might be going for Vault finals as well... Not sure if she has enough difficulty to make it though...

If I were you, I would think a little more about the beam and AA podium, since that new Mustafina's beam and floor routine and polished bars. She definitely could regain the title again on beam and contend to AA ;)

Totally agree with Fibo Nacci, the AA will not stay the same, Kayla isn't even a contender for an AA medal with Yao's Iordache's and Mustafina's new upgrades. For beam I'm sure it will be Mustafina, Iordache and Maria Kharenkova Maybe biles if one of them doesn't deliver. Then for Floor iordache has a new 6.5 Routine solo she most definitely can contend for the world title on floor. Furthermore, the Uneven bars tiltle will go to either one of the Russia's, GB's or Chinese

I think the only American with the ability to make a hard routine look graceful and easy is Kyla Ross. All the Russians, Chinese and British have it but for some reason America still thinks artistic gymnastics is all about power not artistry.

I believe US, China Russia and Romania will battle it out at the podium, with US as clear favorite in winning gold. Team GB might make it to the podium, but they need screw up from the top 4 teams.

Nobody can beat Biles in all-Around, the closest now is Mustafina...Biles will have her higher D score on bars for worlds, this was foreseen. Bronze...Iordache, a chinese gymnast??? Ross should finish in the top 10 but, not medal. USA hope for bars medal is Locklear, Kocian should make finals though.
