I was there. I still want to watch here again and again. What's a match. Barnes seemed to struggle throughout the tournament. If US team paired Jones and Fagan together in Double and Trio, they probably got gold medal in Trio but would be very tight games in Double because Korea were so good especially Choi and Park paired.

Kriengsak Wangdulyakiti I watched a different World Bowling Competition whereas Chris Barnes was struggling, Jakob Butruff was the substitute and yet Barnes as captain refused to acknowledge his poor performance and bowled his spot

Question for commentator Stu Williams: Korea by using urethanes "didn't have to make as good of shots" as the Yanks using reactives? Yes, generally, they are more forgiving off the break, but they read earlier, and don't create the entry angles that have made reactives so popular. It is still necessary to post good shots. I would offer the novel theory that the Koreans simply bowled better.

Where does Barnes keep getting those EPX's? Been obsolete for maybe 3 years now. The maintenance on those things was terrible, have 2 of them and would have to soak them in hot soapy water for hours every week just to get rid of the oil. Then there was the cracking issue.......but great balls when they were clean.

The 2 I have aren't in very good shape, 1 has a bunch of cracks around the finger holes and the other got to the point where I just couldn't get it to perform any more. These balls suck up so much oil and can only be cleaned with numerous hot water and soap soaks but this 2nd one got to the point that I was having to do it after every 3 games. You wouldn't want them.

I cant stand Barnes.. Dude is a friggen baby and when he is off he can never turn it around. A real pro smiles in adversity and works thru their issues. Barnes struggled all tournament and never turned it around...smh

They have a international PBA stop in Korea. The big PBA guns did not go. No easy money like other international PBA stops?

lol really? They have families you know. It's not always about bowling. The US is their home, that's a lot to ask families, kids, and wives to move halfway across the world just so that THEY could bowl. Please tell me you're not that ignorant. Just praise the fact that this was a spectacular match.

Joey McKay I agree that it was a spectacular match. However, I am pointing out that the bowlers in Korea are very tough and this was not an accident. The past 3 years they did not have a PBA winner at the Korea stop. PBA bowlers seem to always win in Europe and the Middle East. There is USD30,000+ on top for the Korean tournament. In 2012-2013 they had Rash, Mika, Smallwood, Fagen Tommy Jones and others going. This year it was Josh Blanchard and Dan Maclelland.

wf94555 .. Remember as well that Korea picked the pattern and that it was a pattern much more suited to Koreans and the way they bowl. Of course if it was a long pattern the US would have dominated.. Not saying the Koreans were not fab, they just had the right conditions. Same at the Korean stop. PBA bowlers will always have a tough time there.

Joey McKay no one is asking PBA members to move to Korea, the inquiry is why they do not attend the PBA event in Korea whilst the Japan Invitational is well represented by the PBA. Eight PBA members are traveling to China to bowl this year, having families is not stopping them from attending because bowling is their job
