I remember being at this game sitting down on the fifth row of the 50 yard line. That second offensive drive for LSU... the stadium felt like it was shaking. You couldn't hear yourself even think. I have been binge watching the highlites of Alabama games today. One thing that's not good about them are Vern and Gary's commentating. Would it be possible to have Eli Gold's commentary instead?
@BamaRewind7 жыл бұрын
Sadly not, for two reasons. First: because most of my videos are coming either from direct recordings of the broadcast that I took myself or from others uploading direct recordings. Not many versions exist with Gold's commentary. Second: the versions with Gold that do exist do not have the audio lined up properly to the video, since they're being pulled from two different sources. Since you don't like Lundquist, the good news for you is that he will be gone next year. It will be Brad Nessler with Danielson.

Sounds about right. Les Miles looked fine until the Bama game. That offense we ran played right into Bama's hands. We would have lost in 2019 as well if Miles was still the coach because he would have continued to run that same offense.
@IronOutTheKinksАй бұрын
@@commonsenselogicI couldn’t agree more. Les’ philosophy was a sitting duck against Saban, which is also why a 2011 rematch was a disadvantage for LSU regardless if Bama deserved the rematch or not (they didn’t). Both teams won both meetings fair and square and it’s not that 2011 LSU wasn’t capable of being Bama twice, just a game of matchups. Your defense doesn’t get enough credit from the rematch. Bama’s defensive highlights are impressive against weaker or superior opposition but they had a much easier task than LSU’s defense. Yet, LSU’s defense gave their team a chance to rally late when the offense finally crossed the 50 (in spite of the offense not crossing the 50). If a great defense doesn’t win the championship, it’ll be because of the defense that they had a chance.

Now when I watch the old archives in Nebraska when they used to play against Iowa and Oklahoma and Texas you saw a good hard tackling but great tackling not like the tackling today and the cheap shots today indicate that the person giving those is not a good player and has to cheat hoping to take down their opponent but if they just learned how to tackle correctly maybe they should fire all of the defensive coaches I certainly wouldn't hire them after how horribly they tackle. If I was in charge of a college football team and I was in division 1 and we hadn't really been winning that many games the way we should I would actually go to New Zealand and learn from the All Blacks on how they tackle correctly and I would teach all of my defensive players to tackle the same way that the ALL BLACKS tackle and then we would win games..
