The $11.0 billion that Geely plowed into Volvo in 2011 was actually a loan guarantee, at a low interest rate. If the new Volvos had been a flop, then Geely would have been on the hook for repayment. I'm happy to say that Volvo has paid off that loan by the end of 2015.

Best looking SUV ever in my opinion. It's a very big car, yet is doesn't look as bulky and fat as most SUV's do. Also the interior looks great, it's not black and dull. And yes that steering wheel looks amazing. This car will change the way I look at SUV's and I hope that other companies take notes from them so we don't have to look at those fat hatchbacks anymore.

Just wondering if you have tested D5 vs T6 acceleration when loaded with 7 passengers (or 5 at least) and some cargo. And/or accelerating uphill. According to diesel lovers, D5 should be less affected, but personally, I'd believe it when I see evidence :) Thanks!

i just bought mine a week ago 2016 c90 r design white, i really recommend it. it is an amazing SUV i am officially a new volvo fan. love the design how it runs, on the different modes that it has and the r design even has paddle shifters. mine has a nice black interior, it looks very very nice.

That's because it's an SUV !! not intended for serious off road driving, fine for towing a caravan in a wet muddy field etc, if you want low range gearbox etc, buy a Landrover, they are designed and built to do this.

When closing the rear hatch with your foot. You stand under the door. Wave your foot slowly once then back up and the door will close. Don't wiggle your foot. You will confuse the sensors. One slow wave and it opens.

Really nice new car !! But this steering wheel reminds me of the one in recent Fiat Panda :( (I'm not fan of shiny plastics, especially on dashboards or buttons) as an European, I wouldnt want diesel: gasoline is so much smoother

Volvos have always had the reputation for safety and reliability but I have never liked them aesthetically, rather boxy and bland, until now, this new Volvo XC90 is very easy on the eyes both exterior and especially the interior

Very attractive car. This version probably is more reliable than the interesting but complex hybrid. Volvo has had quite a few electronic/software problems with the V60 plug-in hybrid. Hopefully they provide a lot of warranty? Or just two years?

Autogefühl unfortunately it comes only with full black leather because the dealer has the car in the store... And yeah... I'm not a huge fan of leather seats... I think im going for the volvo because the seats are alcantara and suuuuper comfy

I think yes, but no one has crash test the Model X yet. It's a completely different SUV though, the Model x is a BEV while the XC90 is a regular SUV

sequoia is not that safe though, and this xc90 is thousand miles ahead with all the tech on it. I'd prefer a land cruiser than a sequoia
