The only thing bad about this security storage is the two bolts which secure the hinges to the storage container. Remove these two bolts and you can take the whole storage unit out. You would need to drill a few bolts threw the bottom of the storage unit to secure it to the truck.

I'm sure it's only intended to thwart typical smash and grab thieves. If a thief has the amount of time it takes to remove both bolts and the box, then they have enough time to defeat most things.

Does this fit with weathertech floormats? And unbolting those bolts removed the little OEM storage already in truck?

If you have a rubber liner in the back, what’s the clearance for this? Do the seats sit properly or not so much?

Just received mine today, the box was tore up, the lock box was damaged and there’s no keys with it. The box look like it had been wrapped up a couple of times on the way to my house. Even if I wanted to keep it and install it there’s no keys with it. I called the company and left a message. Very disappointed.

I'm concerned that the release levers to raise the seat portion for access to the new box are not easy to manipulate. The seat comes down fairly tight on the lid, the demonstration seemed to breeze past that manipulation.🤔

You don’t need to reach the levers to raise the seat bottom on the 2015+ models. You just lift up on the seat bottoms and they go up.

Got mine today. No mounting hardware or keys in the box. Took 9 days to get it. Not happy.

Box are good but locks are junk, stay away until they fix the lock issue. It’s a easy in, locks shaft is cast!

This $300.00 price mentioned here is a SCAM. I contacted American Trucks and they said they would not Honor any price points. Their list price is $471.99 and their sale price as of now is $392.95. What a ripoff. They have a major markup that is un-American!

Excellent points. There’s no way in hell materials and labor will ever go up. If it was $300.00 four years ago it should be $300 forever. Who do these guys think they are? 😂
