This is a very thorough review and should answer pretty much everybody's questions that are considering buying them great job stage 3 Motorsports.

Ordered this kit seven months ago for my 2020 f150 sxt 2wd still haven’t got them. But that video was awesome can’t wait.

Might want to check the lower control arm bolts. I could see a lot of movement around the 6:04 mark in the video.
@namor2163 жыл бұрын
That's happened to me after getting an alignment then going off-road. The shop didn't torque those bolts down to spec. They're supposed to be at 258 lb-ft.
@NoahStage33 жыл бұрын
Yeah, two of the A arm bolts rattled loose and we had to tighten them up on the trail. We realigned it once we got back to the shop and torqued them down. Haven't had any issues since then thankfully.

Let's go a little bigger with your 2021 F150, proper 35s, uppers and lowers, King triples, some deavers and glass. LET'S GO...

I like the sound of all that! Although, there are higher powers above me that may need some convincing hahaha.

I'm feeling something like this kit with 275/60R20's (33's on my factory wheels). No messing about with my crash bars, none of the trails in Coastal North Carolina will be a problem for 20 inch wheels.

You guys should make another video like this but with the king 3.0’s and rear bypass shocks

How come these don't fit 2014 models? I thought that is when ford switched the lower control arms to fit them?
@4SPEECHLESS3 жыл бұрын
I did changed the height on mine and it did change how stiff the suspension was from stock.

Always wondered what the performance difference off-road is with 2.5 vs 3.0 Kings. This guys ripping with 2.5 makes me wonder if 3.0 would be overkill

6:15 mark, wow you can see the lca bolts moving inside of the slots. I wish you would do a whole video on that horrible design flaw that Ford made...

How do these 2.5 kits with a UCA upgrade on 10+ f150s compare to a stock gen 1 raptor
@NoahStage33 жыл бұрын
The Raptor still wins in terms of stability and travel due to its purpose built suspension design and wider stance. BUT this King setup with a UCA does get you much closer to the feeling of a Raptor, and of course the price of this suspension is quite a bit cheaper than the price of a Raptor as a whole.

How do they compare to the new bilstein?
@sotoconstruction1300Ай бұрын
Bilstein is not even close to King. They are way cheaper, they work better than stock shocks. If you don't do a lot of off road then it's a good option

Did you crash the drone at 7:05 ?
@NoahStage33 жыл бұрын
No drone crashes yet, but we did have to pull hard right away from that bush which doesn't make for great looking footage.

Thanks for the review! Trying to just get something soon, I threw the Falcon kit on there, but it's definitely not quite what I was looking for. I've been eying this kit as the upgrade, but am curious if another kit would fit better for a mix of overlanding and high speed gravel/fireroad driving in the 2.5" arena?
@NoahStage33 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the review! I'd recommend taking a look at the Fox 2.5s. Still not a "budget" suspension by any means, but I like the way they ride in the dirt and they tend to run a bit softer than the Kings do.
@TravisN3 жыл бұрын
What didn't you like about the falcon set up? ...I am considering it. I like driving faster on back roads than the stock suspension is good with, and the falcon's adjustability for towing also appeals to me. I was hoping this review might mention something

I really interested in this particular build because it started with an STX. (I have a 2018) I really want to see what a truck without lockers, LSD's, or Torsen fronts will do off road. Could we see a real shake down of what the final build is capable of please?
@rdsii643 жыл бұрын
I just realized this truck as the FX4 package. This means it comes with a rear e-locker. None of what said makes any sense any more.

Good looking suspension. Why do all these trucks have “crash bars” now? Assuming it’s to pass testing? I have a 2011, 2” level, stock wheels, narrow but full 35” tires and no rubbing after removing the front mud flaps. No crash bars of course, but it didn’t have them from the factory lol.
@JsGarage3 жыл бұрын
Yea the crash bars are because the small frontal overlap crash tested revealed bad results on trucks before this testing occurred. They fair much better with crash bars.
@JsGarage3 жыл бұрын
Best example is the 2015 F150 super cab vs crew cab. Same truck, super cab didn’t get crash bars that year but the crew cab did. The results were quite significant. Or compare 15’ and 16’ small overlap F150 super cab.

Are these good for daily driving? I want Coil overs that I can adjust the stiffness. I drive 4 hours a day. I want smooth sailing
@ShockSurplus2 жыл бұрын
Fox has a greater range of adjustability to go between soft daily drive and offroad control. Icon's CDCV setups also affect the drive tremendously, we have a lot of feedback that King's adjusters dont make too much
