I had these on my 2015 F150 (5.0L gas) and they were great but with the 1 - 1/2 in gap, I think it allowed the headlights to still raise up just enough to be blinding to oncoming traffic when driving after sundown. I might be going the "add a leaf" route this time on the newer 2019 F150 (3.0L DSL)

It's so much easier when the wheel is out of the way. I installed mine on a slope and I didn't need to jack up the truck or removed the tire but I think I should have for easier access.

You can do it in your driveway. But you have to take the weight off the axle to get the 17mm on the bolt.

I just bought air lift from you guys for my truck, but am now almost thinking this might be an issue for ride quality when not loaded. I really just want to preserve ride quality when loaded, but uncompromising ride quality all other times. Would you recommend the air lift or timbren? 2019 Ford Ranger

Do these come with the bump stop pad for the 2017 Raptor?

So I installed one of these on a 2022 F-150. I called timbren and they recommended the FR1504E. You had all kinds of clearance. I wasn't able to use the 1 inch pads to go onto rubber springs. Just wasn't enough clearance to use wrench. I think my problem was I used a floor jack and stands and raised on the axle. I wasn't at first to use a wrench but after moving jack to the rear hitch and raising it there I was able to use a wrench. Instructions does say to let the axles to hang freely. I'm contemplating if I should take it to a lift and see if I could get the added pieces on. Currently with no load it sits less somewhere between 1/2 inch and less than an inch. The instructions said if it's 1/2 inch to 1.5 inches from the contact point on vans and trucks it's good. I hooked up my trailer which weighs close to 10,000 pounds and it sagged 5 inches. I can live with that cause it's not a scary sag anymore and I will also use a distribution hitch. Do you think I should bother taking it to a lift and let the axles hang free and see if I can get the added piece in? I'm not even sure if there is room?

I didn't need to raise the axle on my F-150 I just put the truck on my street where it is level and took the factory mounts off and added the rubber puck on top of the rubber bushing with the mounting plate screwed into the frame I didn't need the bottom mounting plate as there was a 1/4" of space left you need that inch and half of space between the axle and the rubber bushing or you will get a rough ride

Does this help with the horrible 2013 F150 FX4 read end vibration? The bed seems to bounce/ vibrate at highway speeds?

No they won't effect the ride when empty the only thing I want to add is the bottom mounting bracket you might not need my 2017 F-150 didn't need that bracket as you need the space between the axle and the rubber bushing so it doesn't buttom out over rough roads or bumps as it will give a harsh ride

It’s similar in theory to a airbag system but much less expensive. To aid with squat when towing

Bryan Enriquez Cost mostly. Plus airbag systems can fail of course. Don’t know exactly how long this material lasts with heavy loads on it

I bought a yard of crushed stone and hauled that home today very little squat and that is a little over a ton of weight wasn't a problem compared to the factory bump stops which my springs where over sprung last time I carried a load that heavy in a half ton lol I carry a lot of heavy stuff so these timbrens will pay for themselves

So many people do this. Dump money into a suspension to add travel and performance. Then completely compromise everything by adding air bags or timbrens. We really want our cake and to eat it too.

This is what I was curious about, this would severely limit articulation. It's great for towing/ keeping it level while loaded but OFFroad is kinda dumb. $1000 King shocks for towing = stupid...

Only thing I can think of, that I could maybe see myself doing, is being an infrequent towwer who just bolts these on when needed. But seeing as that would mean no bump stops at all when they’re out, sounds risky.

They are quick on and off.. you can leave the bottom piece on the axle and just change bump stop when your going to tow

Yup the welds for the nut broke on mine had to use a needle nose visegrip on the nut and a 13mm deep socket just to get it off Ford likes using loctite on all the nuts and bolts
