This video is so much easier to understand and follow than the Steeda video. I just bought these yesterday to go along with the rest of the Steeda Stop the Hop stuff I already have installed, and understanding how the bushing inserts go in from the front is demonstrated far better in this video. Great work!

I think before I install mine, I'm going to Fastenal and upgrade the bolts that come with the kit from 10.9 to class 12.9. I have a little fear of fatigue and bolt shear, so I'm going one step up in bolt class.

Wish I had a lift to install this.. dealer quoted $700 to install. These bushings, lowering springs all around, vertical links, and the stage 2 rear lockout from BMR.. that seems insane as most these parts are installed at the same time as it will be all apart.

Great video as always. Ordered and installed the red street bushings back in Nov. 16. Past two months horrible squeak has developed slowly that actually turns heads now. Any thoughts or options other than remove and re grease?
@Zerogivengarage7 жыл бұрын
I would check that they are tight but they should not be making any noise if torqued and greased properly. Mine have been on for about 22,000 miles now.
@deanbarker38607 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bill. The tech at the dealer agreed with me that the squeak was the bushings too... Spent the day yesterday sorting it out and the culprit turned out to be a set of BMR Vertical Links (Delrin/Spherical) I had on the car also. Regreased them and it's golden again. Thanks for the reply and great videos!
@5abivt7 жыл бұрын
Bongo Dave just wondering if you have adjustable camber arms ? I've been through a few sets of vertical links and bmr replaced half with spherical and I still thought it was the culprit. It was in the end the inner camber arm delrin bushings squeaking.

OMG I just installed the black diff mount and the whine coming from the diff is so bad! I will have to try the red insert and hopefully it goes away! But it does feel better, along with the steeda support bracket. Anyone one else get a bad whine from the black insert? Ok update, i managed to get the red bushings in, heck of a job! The red bushings are much better and the diff whine has almost gone away, only seems to happen randomly around the 120 kph but much better. Will keep the red bushings in for the time being, see how we go!

Get the bolt through kit. I sheered these bolts in half poor design by Ford. Ruined my driveshaft as well.
@JBWHITEGT9 жыл бұрын
Doesnt look like they provide any extra stiffness. Reason being is when you slide the insert in its still surrounded by stock rubber bushing then the metal of rear sub frame resulting in play still. To me this would be a waste of money. Might as well press out the stock bushing and put in some real bushing that sit flush with the sub frame. My question is How stiff is the stock rubber bushings around the edge of it? If that is considerably stiff and the aftermarket bushing sits flush against it, then it might be worth buying these as a temp set up.

Having installed the red 80 durometer bushings on my car I can tell you that the urethane fits up inside in such a way that it is supported all the way around by metal. This mod really works. The ride firms up a bit in the rear, and the car's handling seems more consistent front to rear. No NVH issues but you do feel more input from the road (ever so slightly more harsh but not objectionable) The urethane pucks are fairly thick so you are putting a lot of extra support under there.
@JBWHITEGT8 жыл бұрын
mrksts1 Good to hear. Id like to use the black bushing. I dont mind some NVH to have a better handling vehicle, after all thats what comes with the territory.
