I understand why this sells more than the CLA because its miles ahead in almost every category. I think the Mercedes loses a lot of buyers because it has a stiff ride while this is comfortable and more luxurious.

An audi a3 1.8T fully loaded in the US costs $41,000 whereas the same car with the same specs in the UK costs £41,000 which is $63,000! How is this fair, I want an a3!

Because in the US there is a larger market for these cars therefor they will be willing to lower the price since they will sell a higher value For example I can sell 10 apples in the UK at $10 and target people who can afford the $10 In the US if there are 50 people who can afford a $7 apple then I'd rather drop the price on the apple so I can sell more of it

@vh9network10 жыл бұрын
I think the hatchback A3 looks awkward. It looks like a Chevy spark, its tiny. At least the Sportback A3 looks a little better, but that regular hatchback look weak. If I were to shop for a 5 door car, it wouldn't be a Sportback A3, it would be the new Q3 SUV. Now that is a car you hatchback lovers should be striving for.

The review videos need to provide a full review, good or bad. Audi looks great and drives nice when it is not in the shop. The audi a3 has 3 recalls, leaking fuel and can cause fire!!! Furthermore, it is knows to lose power when driving when you are driving. So if you are driving along on the freeway at 75 mph and your power does out... Yes, the vehicle has a recall that takes forever to get fixed because the dealers are soo behind..... buyer beware!!

Is Autoguide a Canadian channel or do u just film in Toronto ?
@williamk180010 жыл бұрын
It's a Canadian channel with Canadian cars, but the prices and info are all for the American market... makes no sense. Like the time they showed a Canadian VW GTI Wolfsburg model (which is better equipped and more expensive than the American Wolfsburg edition since USA also gets Drivers Edition), and they gave the price as an American Wolfsburg. Just sloppy and deceiving.

Nice car. My vote (and money is) going to C) none of the above - Golf R: performance of the CLA45 AMG, better looking than the S3 and costs as much as a base 2.0T A3.

Golf R better looking than a S3/A3 sedan. Get out of town. The ugly hatch back looks about as cute as the Chevy Spark. What's with these comparisons of late. Its like you guys need glasses if you think hatchbacks look sexy.

It looks better than the A3. Which is just plain boring as a sedan. Audis win on their interior. Plus the S3 is slower than the R is louder, without being showy. To me.

@samulipentti861210 жыл бұрын
Oumar DiAlLo You so missed the point...many American car reviews often mention if there are different models available in Europe. These guys make it sound that Audi stopped doing A3 hatchback altogether, but the truth is that it's just not marketed in America any more.
@toumard110 жыл бұрын
Samuli Pentti No you don't get it. It's not important whether they mention other models in other countries or not to the review. Just because some reviewers do it doesn't mean it is a standard. Some Americans are looking for a review on this one car and don't want to here about models in other countries that they won't buy. This isn't really a big deal anyway, but just saying, if someone wants to hear about European marketed cars they should just watch a British or English speaking European review.

***** This base model does not suck it has alot of standard options that are considered pricy options on other cars. And the whole point of this car and similar competing model the Merc CLA is to provide an entry level luxury car in the 30k range. Now if we were talking about the base Merc CLA that one does suck at 30k. You get a panoramic moonroof, full led tails, HID's, 10 speaker radio, pop up dash screen and real leather on the base A3. That is NOT a sucky base model. That is actually alot of bang for the buck. Now on the Merc CLA you have to spend about another $8000 in options, $38,000 total, to get what's in a $30,000 base A3.

To small for so much money, German automakers are getting beside themselves. Sport models are only scaled back editions of premium models.
