I just bought my grandson (18) the bike, GPR250RS for traveling from home to work in the holidays.... I like the review, seeing that I don't want him charging down the highways. .... thank you for your review, I found it useful...

I own an older GPR 200R and in my personal experience, Big Boy bikes are greatly underpowered and break easily. The only good thing is it's low fuel consumption and simplicity. Great review and well in detail too. Thanks

Definitely good on price as well! Glad it was helpful!

Thanks a lot for the review, I found it very useful. My choice is between this and a Zontes Panther (J-125). Reliability is my biggest concern (I don't own spanners), so sounds like the Zontes would be more reliable, with a better warranty.

These bikes are the worst. I bought myself a brand new GPR125 back in 2013. I drove it off the showroom floor and the GPR sticker flew off the fuel tank and to top it off the fuel gauge broke as i got home. The mirrors would vibrate when the bike would idle and it felt as though you had pins and needles in your hands after a ride on the bike because the vibrations to the handles were so bad. I have to ride quite a steep hill home to get back from school. Because of the genius design of the fuel intake in the fuel tank, if you have less than half a tank of fuel and you travel up a steep hill, the intake literally sucks in air because youre fuel is at an angle in the tank. I didn't even have 400kms on the bike and i sent it back for a refund. They offered me a gpr250, but i flat out declined and bought myself an XR125L (Which never gave me a problem whatsoever and i rode it for 10000kms and sold it for the same price i bought it) These chinese import bikes are fine if you're looking for something to mess around with on a park or just ramp into your pool, but in terms of reliability and quality they are horse shit. I would never recommend motomia, jonway, SAM, big boy or these other chinese brands. Even though their motorcycles are horrible, their scooters are better. I'm not here to bash anyone here with a chinese bike because i also bought myself, i just don't want people making the same mistake of buying a bike because it looks cool and they win you over with how cheap the parts and services are. Do yourself a favour and buy a Japanese bike. Even though it might be more expensive, you're buying quality and you'll be sure to get most of your money back when you re-sell.

Not to mention the unreliable electronics on the Big Boy GPR. I've used the kickstarter more than the electric starter lol that says a lot.

I have been using a gomoto beyond 200 for 2 years now, it broke after a old lady rammed through me. So quality wise it did not fail on it's own. It is also known as a "chinese takeaway" (might not be politically correct lol). Big Boy is a lot more expensive than gomoto so I am assuming the quality is a lot better.

Does the gasket on the left side of your engine fit a yamaha ybr 250cc? Is it the same pattern shape

I have Bashan 250, what i dnt like most is the vibration, mirrors moves around i guess is caused by vibration and speed. I have tried to take it to mechanics to adjust speed by they could not. 120 is hard to reach even on downhill. What irritate me most is the clutch especially at the robot its very difficult to put it on neutral. I am considering Mustang 250 but I am also skeptical about it with max speed of 110....But thanks for the review

Thank you very much, I appreciate the Honesty. In you opinion, Am I better off buying this, the GPR250RS or is the GPR250R a better buy ( previous / older model ), which is on special ?
@UFDTech9 жыл бұрын
Depends on the price difference and your use of it. The RS has updated technology and will be quicker, higher top speed, and better fuel economy, but it may not be enough to offset the cost. Also, if you're taking it on the highways at all, I would go with the RS over the R since the RS even struggles to hit 120 on a flat surface or even 100 up a hill.

I have a friend that wants to buy a 2017 Senke x6 250 cc. How does it compare to this? I can't seem to find any info online about this bike. And seeing as he wants to use it to commute to work, not sure it's a good idea.

I'm considering getting the gpr 250 rs as my first bike for I am on a budget .. When you say top speed of 110 kmh is that spec speed or the max at which you can get it too and how badly do you feel road vibration??
@UFDTech9 жыл бұрын
So the 110 is spec, but it's pretty close to accurate. You can hit 120, maybe 130, on a downhill, but the bike really struggles. On a major hill, the bike can barely keep up to 100. The road vibration is tolerable, but it definitely is there. So far my mirrors have vibrated out of place and some nuts that secure the front indicators. Just make sure everything is tightened before you start riding.

when you review a bike you bacicly talk about the bike....not honda and yammaha lol....for the price its a good looking bike...i have the orange and white one....and half of the stuf you were talking about is noncence like the mirrors cant move.......without pulling out the bolt listen to your own video and then do a nother one.......aal and aal its just a coment
@UFDTech9 жыл бұрын
+Paul Vermeire Thanks for watching and the comments on the reviews. I'll keep it in mind for my next review. I sold my CBR250R to move to South Africa so it was high on my mind and I thought it was obvious what Big Boy was trying to do with the bike.
@UFDTech9 жыл бұрын
+Paul Vermeire And with regards to the mirrors, I honestly cannot move them without the bolt coming loose. No matter how tight I get it. I can adjust the mirror portion that is on the ball-and-socket joint, but not the actual arm of the mirror.
