Couldnt find much in depth on hyrdoboost systems on the newer trucks, and you nailed the "how-to". Informative and well spoken for the everyman. Well done!

Much appreciated! I couldn’t find a whole lot on it either when I was looking. It seems like a pretty common issue though. I was sick of adding fluid every other day! Lol. Mine was bad..

I believe I have the same issue but did you also have some pulsating brake pedal as well? Just curious because mine is doing that.

I would have some pulsating with mine. When the fluid got low and my power steering started whining. That’s when I noticed it. Once I topped it back off it’d be fine. It left its mark everywhere I went 😂

Is that pushrod adjustable? I replaced my Master Cylinder, and ever since then the booster has been applying a preload on the MC like the pushrod is too long for this new MC. The brake fluid cannot return to the MC and my brakes apply when the brake fluid heats up.

My particular push rod was not. It was fixed and just had a ball and socket type connection into the back of the hydroboost. No threaded adjustment where the eye bolts to the pedal either

@@McKameyFarms I'm thinking these hydroboost systems rely on a specific master cylinder being mated to them because I can't find anything on adjusting them. It was probably designed that way because getting that adjustment right is problematic. (and I have the wrong MC installed)
