Just bought a 200C AWD with every possible upgrade for $14,000!! I’m super excited about driving this car for the next couple years
@TheMELTDOWN9114 жыл бұрын
back at the end of 2018 I also bought 2.... for my 2 daughters, both silver 200C 3.6L AWD with all the options with Nappa leather with real wood one with black interiors and the second with cream... they had around 30K miles when purchased also purchased the lifetime Mopar warranty so I told my daughters, here you have your Chrysler's! for life! I drive a 300C and my wife an Aspen... other than replacing the full set of shocks and struts to both cars (paid only 100 each as deductible) and new brake pads and tires.... both have been trouble free! also paid around $38K for both including the lifetime warranty.. was a tremendous deal These are Alfa Romeos with Chrysler body and engine... the calipers and some chasis parts have the Alfa Romeo logo stamped on them... love love love the leather on both... nice cars

Just bought one yesterday. Sleek, aerodynamic, and a really smooth ride. I bought the 4 cylinder. It's a gas sipper. We've put 100 miles on the car since yesterday and we still have almost a full tank. And a very large trunk. Not what I went in looking for, but with all the rebates and at $22K I couldn't pass it up. The designers did a good job and I don't feel like I'm driving a "girly" car".

I saw this car at the Toronto Auto Show and literally came back to the booth seven times to look at the gorgeous lines and sit in it again. This video in the rain does not do this car justice, it has beautiful lines, and the interior when compared to the other contenders I sat in at the show, was hands down the best. Really excited to test drive this car when our local dealer gets one. I check every week. Going to trade my Grand Marquis in (wife allowing) and get this. Perfect family car with the extra goodies I want. I specially like that you can pick and choose the options, you aren't forced to buy things (like nav) that you don't want. Really impressed with this ride!

I bought the 2015 200 C AWD 3.6 liter, on 19 inch alloy wheels, in black with white interior. This is a head Turner! And honestly, I have to pull back off the line in sport mode, using the paddle shifters. I've had her 3 months and I'm still learning all the integration of futuristic driving. Same collision warnings and brake as a Lexus in heavy traffic. Same lane assist without using brake technology, but rather electronic steering assistance without over powering the driver. The adaptive cruise control with sonar slows as you approach a slower vehicle ahead, then resumes. And the Uconnect technology alone will make you smile in traffic. Well worth the sticker price of 36k. Best and most beautiful car I've ever owned.
@PassportBrosBusinessClass10 жыл бұрын
The Camry, Accord, Altima and Sonata have sterilized American expectations of cars so much that at this point, all they expect is to get from point A to point B - prefferably without breaking down. None of these schlubs know what a driving experience is till they rent a RWD with more than 275 horsepower. The 200 is going to be a great car. The features are roughly equal to the 300, Charger and JEEP Cherokee which means you won't miss out on tech. No one else in the segment gives you a V6 with AWD anymore for less than $35,000.
@mhtube0110 жыл бұрын
Well said! Another thing that I think is REALLY sad, is that Chrysler is one of the few companies anymore that still offers a full size, V8 powered, RWD sedan. Ford REFUSES to use anything bigger than a V6 anymore which I think is stupid. They swear by the Ecoboost engines which don't get me wrong are good, but they really can't build a proper replacement for the Crown Vic, or offer a V8 for the Taurus? GM finally came out with the SS which is a nice car but I think they need to put a V8 in the new Impala. They did such a nice job with that car and all it comes with is a V6 or a 4 cylinder. I mean come on, put a V8 in that car like it deserves!! The true full size cars are a dying bread. Shame.
@PassportBrosBusinessClass10 жыл бұрын
Ford was first of the Big3 to embrace the fuel economy mandates placed on it by the government. The government mandates are the real reason the V8 is being killed.
@mhtube0110 жыл бұрын
bigtruckseriesreview . I know and it's a load of BS.
@MaestroTJS10 жыл бұрын
mhtube01 I think the dying breed...is you. The Impala, which is apparently a great car, doesn't deserve a V8 anyway unless they decide to put AWD in it and make a special version of it. A V8 and FWD? What for?
@mhtube0110 жыл бұрын
Maestro_T I forgot to mention that. I wouldn't want a FWD V8 car at all. They would absolutely have to make it AWD or it would be even cooler if they made the Impala RWD again just like the good old days. But then, that virtually eliminates the need for the SS, unless you prefer that over the Impala. I'm going to take what you said as a compliment. I'm old fashioned with cars so yes, I am a dying breed. I'm surrounded by people that only care about fuel economy and safety in cars. Or they just buy the base, 4 cylinder with no options cause that's all they need to get from point A to point B. I on the other hand love cars that perform. I hate cars that are boring to drive and have no personality. I want something that I'll look forward to driving, something that's fast, looks good and sounds good but still has good practicality (at least for an every day driver.) Classic cars are my favorite though. I love the big V8 powered, RWD boats like old Cadillacs and Buicks. They were awesome cars. But at the same time I love muscle cars and sports cars. So yes, I am a dying breed and I'm proud of it!

Wow. Very nice car. This would be the car I'd buy if I were in the market for a luxury car. I actually really liked the Chrysler 200 that this new one replaces.
@mhtube0110 жыл бұрын
I really liked it too. My parents leased a 2014 Super S Premium model back at the end of January and I actually really like that car. It does have some hints of the old Chrysler in it like the old Uconnect system, which is incredibly dated compared to the new 8.4 inch screen system that I have in my 2013 Dodge Dart. The old one lags and looks older, the new one has virtually no lag and is pretty much the best system out there in my opinion. It's just so intuitive and easy to figure out. The 200's system does the job though. I like the rest of the interior, I think it's classy and quality is overall way better than the Sebring. The new one really steps it up though. The Pentastar V6 is an awesome engine too. Extremely smooth, powerful, and quiet but at the same time when you rev it high, it has a nice roar to it. You do get a lot of torque steer if you gun it from a stop but I think it adds to the fun. Overall it's a nice driver with great ride quality. I'm anxious to drive the new one with AWD with the V6, no torque steer there and probably better handling. We got a REALLY good deal on ours though so we couldn't pass it up!

The 9 speed automatic transmission is made by ZF in Germany. It shifts much quicker than you think. And this transmission has different modes, such as economy, normal, and sport modes. The first six gears are for sporty driving, and the last three gears are for fuel economy. The ratios on this transmission are closer, so the transmission shifts smoothly.

It was super quiet, smooooooth ride, handled great and the mpg was good enough when buying petrol by the liter where I was. This car is way better looking than any Luxes, I wouldn't touch Luxes if you pay me, boring and ugly. 200's interior is about as good as the Audi's but more interesting and modern, only interior can compete with it is probably Fusion's in that price range. Exterior is smooth, and streamlined, almost Teslaish. I think this is the best midsize sedan Chrysler has made so far.

Houston Yellow cab has the 2014 version of this car, only bad thing for TALL Texans, is back door does not have the head clearance the Ford Crown Vic's had (Crown Vic's being replaced due to age & mileage, city ordinance requires cabs not be more than 5 years old.).. The ride on the cab's is quite smooth, but is more cramped than the cabs that these are replacing.

I think Chrysler made a decent and competitive product here.they focused on key areas like design and bringing a modern refined 4cylinder option to the 200 with better gas mileage.I also think the non cvt path they chose might net them more customers because cvts are boring and still have some reliability issues .they also priced it competitively .I could actually see these selling more than the Malibu.

Chrysler flew these two Morons out there so they'll say anything for a quick buck.While everyone has their own opinion on the looks of the lexus,do you honestly believe these Chryslers will be worth anything after 5-10yrs? Everyone knows Chrysler is at the bottom when it comes to reliability,you honestly think these Italians will change that? That car won't last & resale is going to be a joke.
@awksweat2309 жыл бұрын
penvon Morons, really? That's kind of rude. Also, I HIGHLY doubt they are saying anything just because they were flown in to shoot a video. Their reputation and honest opinions are what keep them in business, not friendly ties with a certain car manufacturer. Onto the main point: "While everyone has their own opinion on the looks of the lexus" That's exactly my point. FLC implied that this is the poor man's Lexus. I am offering my personal opinion otherwise. This is a VERY nice package and I am sure with the recent uptick in reliability numbers from Chrysler, it will hold down its value well. Lexus is hands down more reliable and less vulnerable to depreciation but it is also much more expensive with, in my opinion, a slightly higher level of comfort and luxury that is not worth the initial price tag.
@penvon9 жыл бұрын
Okay maybe I went a little overboard with the Morons comment,but whenever Chrysler flies These guys over to review a car I can't trust their opinion. I just don't get why they didn't say it's the poor mans Cadillac or poor mans Benz.I only drive Lexus & for these guys to even mention Lexus while driving in a Chrysler is disrespectful. Lexus=The pursuit of Perfection. Chrysler=The Pursuit of trying to last 5 yrs on the road without breaking down.

I think this may not be a game changer in wide terms, but for chrysler, is a HUGE step in the right direction. If it was cheaper, I would totally consider buying it. Great looking simple front end, while not a fan of v6s or automatics, I'm very excited to see how this 9 speed does in a passenger car with an efficient v6. Especially with AWD I think this will appeal greatly to what American buyers are looking for.

My local dealer only has a 2013 200 4 cylinder engine with I think 180 horsepower.

Huge step...alright jump from its predecessor in looks and interior. A7 rear is nicely imitated as is the Fusion profile. Still look back at my Optima when parked. My favorite since it's not so reminiscent of so many others.

I like it! I hope it's a hit for them because they need one really bad in this class. Looks like a solid contender though. If I were in the market for a sedan like this, this one would likely get my money.
