Before I watch this video, I have installed LED bulbs in mine but the light would turn off and the the message of bad bulb will come up on the dash after driving for a while so I had to turn the light off then on but it will happen again , so I tried to search but the only solution I found was to use this (Auxbeam 9012 LED Headlight Canbus Error Free Anti Flickering Resistor Decoder) And since then it's working fine with no problem at all, do you think that will harm any thing in my car ?

If you’ve installed the CANBUS decoder and it includes a resistor…and your error codes are gone…then you should be in good shape now. My solution has those two parts as separate pieces. It sounds like you found one device that does both. Do you have a link to the product you used?

I bought chrysler 200 from a friend he had LED head lamp installed in it and it is giving same error that head light is out and then left head light automatically turns off but right one keep on . I installed the load equalizer 6 ohm but it is still giving same error what could be the reason

How do you modify the 2015 Chrysler if it doesn’t come suited for fog lights nor fuse or switch with out a wiring kit and toggle switch

I’m not exactly sure. You could try to get an OEM headlight switch that includes fog lights, but you’ll also have to investigate if the wiring is there. However, even if you get a switch and the wiring is there I think the Chrysler dealer has to activate the feature in the car software.

Question.. i was installing led conversion on my daughter's 2014 200limited.. I stopped as the resistors etc they gave me would have me keep dust cap off off headlights.. where would I mount the resistor..can I just keep that dust cap off as I dont think that's good for water etc...

Ballast resistors are based on the wattage of the bulb. You should have the same 55W so you’ll need a 50W resistor like this to simulate that.

i have a 2016 200s and i installed aftermarket LEDS and the passenger low beam is giving me hell. the connection is fine the bulb lights up but i can’t get it to stay in place. the driver side however hasn’t given me issues. i bought the car less than a year ago and it looks like while in reconditioning the passenger headlight assembly was replaced. any suggestions?

Had a similar issue and for me it was a poor quality bulb manufacturer. Swapped in a different brand that fit perfectly. It’s possible your issue is a poor quality housing tho based on what you’re saying. Maybe try swapping the bulbs left to right? If both bulbs fit good in the driver side then it’s probably the housing. If only one fits good I’m the drivers side you should try another brand of bulbs.

I got the canbus decoders from auto one led, led works fine but I still get the message “ low beam bulb out “ but led keep on working

You need to add the resistors as the video shows.

Does the led light have to match the resistor in watt size say 50nwatt. My leds say 120watt

The bulbs are probably “120W” equivalent. They’re probably not drawing 120W. You need the 50W resistor to simulate the draw of a traditional bulb.

Not sure. I think the 2015 was the model change year. But…if you’re getting errors with LEDs, this modification is the right way to fix it.

@@Starlinstephens Take your time with it and you’ll be fine. The headlight outage warning feature is great because it tells you when a bulb is out. But it’s also annoying because it can’t adapt to LEDs without this mod.

Yeah the 4 grounds are connected together somewhere its called the car

I’m aware of that concept. I was concerned that the BCM would be able to tell the difference if I used a ground that wasn’t fed directly to the headlight. .

I Got 6 ohm resistors for my LED's on my 2012 and the TIPM was STILL shutting them off. Yall might have to do some ohms law to find what resistor value you need to match with your LED's

You could do that. I stayed within the stock harnesses because I was concerned that the BCM would somehow detect that there was no connection on that factory ground circuit. I’m not 100% up to speed with how these CAN Bus circuits detect voltage and where. So, I thought that if I duplicated the original circuitry exactly, and just added the load resistor, that would be the method least likely to confuse the BCM.
