I’ve got a 2019 300C. Much prefer the 300 over the Charger. Definitely more upscale. Sucks they discontinued the C model from ‘21 up. The blacked out S model is too boy racer for my tastes. Also, the wood in the C is real. I think it looks way better than the piano black plastic stuff in the 300S. Nice vid though. I dig your sense of humor 😅

Very nice comparison of these excellent cars. I owned the 2014 Varvatos edition of the Chrysler 300, and the 2018 Dodge Charger GT. Both of these vehicles were all wheel drive and I loved the looks, handling, electronics, and power of both the Chrysler and Dodge.

300C is historically significant in the world of cars and most buyers are already aware of the significance. Enthusiasts already know the difference between an 300S (v6) and 300C (v8) therefore your point about the displacement badge is moot. People who prefer Charger's also know the SE/SXT's are V6 models and anything with R/T in the badging is a v8 model. it basically boils down to brand loyalty to Chrysler/Dodge.

I have a 2014 Charger SE. I put a Sunroof in it, added Satellite Radio and I have a GPS that fits right in front of the shift lever. It was a rental car so I bought technically used within the same model year. Immediately there was a $8000 discount off the car. I agree with you on the engine. The V6 gives enough power while maintaining decent fuel economy.

+Keon Jenkins The way i see it--get the V-6 or get the SRT 485 horse. No need for the other V-8--why get 25 mpg when you can get 28-30 mpg with all the power you need of the V-6? Consumer Reports says stay away from the V-6 and get the basic Hemi V-8 but they are wrong--not the first time. I had a Dodge Ram truck with that V-6 and got 17-24 mpg--better than most compact trucks. Good choice!!

+chad haire I have the 2015 R/T Road & Track. Absolutely fantastic car, nicely loaded (29R with 8.4 Nav) for 36K OTD. I disagree with you. If you want the power of a V8 without the 50K price tag, the R/T is a great buy. The power and grunt of the 5.7 is very nice for the price and I never feel that I'm lacking for that last 100hp of the SRT8. Also, the Road & Track is the way to go if you want more than the V6 but a nicely equipped V8 for a good price. It has upgraded suspension, a much nicer leather interior with suede leather in the center of the seats that keeps you firmly planted in your seat, cooled seats all around, heated front seats and steering wheel and the Super Trac Pack performance pages with launch control. I wouldn't trade my R/T Road & Track for 3mpg without a gun to my head. I'm sure the V6 is a great 28k car, but if you can put in the extra 3-8k, the Hemi 5.7 is definitely the way to go without breaking the bank on the 50k SRT8. When making my purchasing decision, I drove the V6, the R/T and the R/T Road & Track. I would almost agree with you on the R/T, but the Road & Track package is a very nice option without spending buku bucks on the SRT8. And to note, the Scat Pack is also available at under 40k with the 6.4L 485hp motor... but it's poorly equipped and lacks the suspension and brake system of the SRT8. Only worth it for drag racers.

I will just correct you one one thing , you went on and on about spending an extra $3000. On the V-8 and nowhere on the car showed it was a V-8 seemed important to you . The C in the 300 C shows there is a V-8 under the hood. 300C does not come with a V-6. The 300S comes with the V-6 or V-8 engine but you did not even mention that version of the car. Oh and to compare the 300 with the charger saying there almost the same car come on now . Charger is a great car but nothing like the 300 for ride and class. But all in all not a bad review I learned so much about the headlights of both cars. Keep up the great reviews very entertaining.

They should at least have a 5.7 stamped on the hood. Under that body, there is little difference between the Charger and 300 sedan. I see no difference in ride quality. If you were blindfolded there would be no difference noted. More class on the 300? Well yes, but not that much. Aside from looks and some fluff, they ARE the same car for the most part. Have to be to keep costs down. And the SRT engine has been dumped in the 300, have to get the Charger. But I am not practical--I would take the Challenger anyway. See my Challenger SRT video......

The 2015 300 hemi C has a better interior than the charger. The 300 hemi C has black leather seats and the charger has black cloth seats instead of leather. I think that all full-size sedans should have leather seats.

You can get 292 hp or 300 hp 3.6 in the 300 and Charger..Charger/Challenger 305 hp.*300 S has the 300 hp vs 292 other 300 and base Charger versions.. The 2005-2010 Charger/300 had a 2.7 that was slow the 3.5 wasn't bad 7.3 0-60 and 15.6 1/4 mile...250 horse/250 torque..The 190 hp 2.7 was 10 seconds 0-60.. Mercedes style parts were replaced in 2011 and in 2015 new suspension etc was done again making 0 Mercedes designed or related parts...As the 5 speed is gone,that was a Mercedes transmission.5.7 is the way to go V6 ga smileage,5 second 0-60 and 13.4 1/4 mile times...Chrysler's get quicker as more mileage is on,plus better mpg !!!!

Chrysler emblem goes back to Chrysler from the 1920's..So,Chrysler emblem,they all copied.. Same beef here....No HEMI emblem !!!! We bought a new Chrysler 300 Platinum with the 5.7 HEMI,only things we did were a dealer installed Mopar Cat back exhaust and I ordered Hemi emblems.. The emblems I ordered look classy they are a 1 year emblem only from a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT Hemi...They are not huge but big enough..I bought 3,one on the trunk lid,one on each fenders.. I can get 26.5 mpg after 5,000 miles and keeps climbing and the car is quicker too.. Love the car !! O.K nice gag with the pole lol,some clown must have a serious dent on his ride,well a total write off I would say....**These are very nice reliable cars,this is our second one and if I had problems with a car I will not buy another !!

chad haire ;) They may not dent, but not one of them is aligned properly. Follow the lines. The gap is so wide between the hood and the front fascia of the 300, I kept thinking the hood was partially open.

louxniverse Well i don't have the car to look at close anymore but I say WHO CARES? German cars have tight gaps, but when they get 60K miles on them they are worn out--money pits that drain your wallet. American style sedans might have the gaps but are going to be running a lot longer, look just as good, cost less to buy, and less to fix. At the 100,000 mile mark the Charger will be driving while you in that VW will be walking.

I just took my wife's f10 550xi 4.4 twin turdbo in for a water pump fail... radiator hose bulge and failing turbo coolant lines dripping coolant in the valley of the "hot V" all at 53000 miles. Already experienced power train shutdown merging between 2 semis w a baby on board, due to a known injector failure. I did pass the timing chain recall which cost some folks $8000 in labor. These morons that think European/German cars are better are usually doing get to know where the gas goes. Yeah the time my wife's 550 went down with an injector fail, we went home and got what I wanted to take. My blacked out viper rimmed back diamond corsa 300 392. My 30 year old buick grand national that is run at least every couple weeks still has original turbo and rad hoses, and both out run wifeys chick car, which thank God I negotiated a good deal on the 7/100 ext warranty and maintenance package. Hoses not included in it. I paid 500 parts only on hoses. Labor would have been over that We'll over a grand w labor for the pump. I plan on getting a check back from BMW NA on the parts as I am still chewing on some ass in NC. GERMAN SUCKS, NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT to all you euro bitches. Most of the guys on here talking up euros probably drive toyota, Honda and Datsun or what ever they're calling themselves this decade

Foodie Greg Hey Mister, I didn't talk up *anything*. There's no reason to start throwing insults around. I never compared these Chrysler turds to anything German. I have a picture of a 1974 VW Super Beetle on my profile because it's my husband's first car and I like it. Every other vehicle we have is Japanese. Their body panels line up and they run forever, as evidenced by the fact that every last one of them is at least 11 years old and not one of them have ever had a single major mechanical failure or needed to be towed.
