As a Dale Jr fan I was very excited to see Jr win but only for a second then it turned into concern for Austin Dillon

I watched this race and saw that crash. Glad Austin walked away from that. Im curious though, what caused the 3 to go in the air like that?
@nascargavin85 жыл бұрын
When he hit Hamlin's spinning car, it popped the front of hit car in the air and pointed it towards the wall. While the front was already in the air, he got several racecars slamming into his right side which allowed more air under his car. At that speed, the wind was enough to flip it over the rest of the way. And fairly quickly.

Here's the closest I can think of kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIuqgKGnmsyrhNE It's a combination of that and Jamie McMurray's flip at Talladega this year when he got punted in the door by Newman. Except in the trioval at Daytona.

@@nascargavin8 now i can see how the 3 got into the air like that. Thank you for the link

@@SleepyOddish but did you see the way the 3 car's momentum just come to a stop when he hit that catch fence. From 180-190+ MPH to basically 0 MPH before coming back to the racing surface.

You should do Daytona, Phoenix, dover, and Watkins Glen from last year

Just think since this crash, Austin Dillon won at Daytona points paying races twice. 2018 Daytona 500 and 2022 Coke Zero Sugar 400.

Sorta his final Daytona win but not overall. Phoenix later this year was his last win overall. Unless you count his 2016 Duel win. But far as points paying races goes this was his last Daytona win and Phoenix later that year was his last points paying win.
