With the Journey, this is the perfect time to change the rotors, pads and battery. The battery thing kills me. Taking the driver's side tire off to change it. Thanks for sharing!

When reassemble don't the axel nut have to be Torque to spec so you don't damage the new bearing.
@AZNKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Yes but I think I'll be ok just as long as you tight it really good.
@universallaw88503 жыл бұрын
@@AZNKitchen yeah but I heard you can actually over tighten it but I will be doing my wife wheel bearing tomorrow on her journey.

Oh ok hope everything work out for ya 👍

It does have to torques to spec or it will burn out the bearing.

Hub&bearing mounting bolts - 35 ft/lbs Axle nut - 118 ft/lbs For the future you should be torquing those nuts down not only for your own safety but to also make sure you don’t Premature wear out the bearing.

Hi man, whats the spec of your jack stands? Got a journey but not sure what weight capacity stands i need. Thanks
@AZNKitchen3 жыл бұрын
You'll be ok just use the jack and any jack stand would help to support the weight👍

Have a 16’ Journey SXT that makes a “spinning up” or “winding up” noise when I drive it. The noise isn’t responsive to the engine (doesn’t get louder when I rev or push accelerator) or responsive to the transmission (stays constant even if I manually shift). It does seem to get louder as the car moves faster and stops when car stops. No rough ride and car feels good, just the sound? Does this sound like a wheel bearing?
@AZNKitchen Жыл бұрын
Sounds like it,and how's your break pad and rotor and is the sound coming from left or right?
@GorillaDev417 Жыл бұрын
@@AZNKitchen seems like right side. Brakes and rotors are in good shape.

@@AZNKitchen what socket size for the wheel bearing?

I believe the 4 bolts in the back for wheel bearing is 15mm

Does the speed sensor connect to the bearing or somewhere else? Why does some bearings have the speed sensor & others don’t
@AZNKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Great question I believe it is connected to the back of the wheel hub and transmission. You might have to Google it to understand .I'm not a mechanic
