...and yet, I would still rather have the Monster 796.

I'd guess because it's about 50lbs lighter and has a single-sided swingarm? That's why I prefer the 796 vs. the 821.

@@tneper the HP makes up. I have the 796 and it rides sublime. But rather have the 26 HP an the looks more

Is the stock ground clearance on these better than on a Street triple R?

emullen93 Street triple R has an excellent engine and chassis but is an uncomfortable ride.

Skidd Lidd Andy the street triple has the same ergos.. but its ugly as f$Ck. i had the oppertunity to get at 2013 with slightly high miles for 40% off retail... NOPE.. both looks and performance matter. the triumph has the performance.. but the duck deuces all over the triple.

I didnt hate the stripple, but have short legs, I had the R model and the suspension is higher on that, for all it was quite a bit lighter that the monster, it felt much heavier imo. I've had 4 different bikes in the last 2 years, the monster is definitely the one for me.

On bikes like those, the limiting factor is always the rider.

the way you break in a motorcycle nowadays is you burn one full tank of gas following the break in procedure and then you can ride it normal is what my mechanic told me for my last 3 rebuilds and its worked very well

Does this bike top out at 140mph or is that just how fast he could get it with how much space he had?
@325West9 жыл бұрын
+Abdullah Saady That is Flat out, might get to 141 or 142.
@SaadyAb9 жыл бұрын
It tops out at 148, I purchased one in July.

+Abdullah Saady Right on! That straight isn't quite long enough to hit the limiter in 6th.

Abdullah Saady 148,eh?....do itself a favour and KZbin 821 top speed !if u found a video with that speed please reply!

Ok so the 821 has twice as many valves and camshafts and more CC's. Was this really needed to be tested? Why didn't you compare it to a 1100 monster? The power is closer. I'm not impressed with the new Monsters, I think the styling is not as good as any of the previous monsters and the speedo looks out of place. I have only ever owned Monsters " 750,900,796,1100EVO" and I'm sad to say I'm going to skip this generation. My next Ducati will be a 899 Panigale, let's see it beat one of those.
