Love my 2014 Taurus, MPG Avgis 22.9 to 23.1 City, Hwy Avg 28.9 to 29.1. I hit 31.1MPG for over 200 miles on I-81 one time. Not too shabby for 288hp.

You can get this Limited with a 2.0 turbo Ecoboost with 31 Hwy mpg @ 268 HP. The base 3.5 V6 averages 23 as shown @ about 288 HP.

They aren't that bad on gas if you keep your foot out of it. It does as good as my 2009 Honda CRV and it is a lot more comfortable. The dash always reminded me of the old Thunderbirds. I had zero problems with my 2010 and I just traded it for a 2018. You can get 30 mpg on the highway if you drive it right.

personally I love this car I have a 2015 limited silver I think it may be a Fleet model because it lacks certain Sony components The Limited but I think this car is great my only concerns are it can be a little unwieldy backing up and it can lean some when it turns but I think that could be corrected if I want to after market shocks and struts 12 for a little more lean and balance I think it would help overall I would give it 3.5 out of 5

I think the sample size of your fuel economy is small. Your economy should be a good bit better than 19.5 mpg. Drive it for a month, and I bet you are closer to the mid 20's. I have a 2013 Taurus limited with the 3.5 liter non turbo. I haven't reset my economy calculator for over a year, and my avg. is right at 23.8 mpg. On trips it does better than that. My car has the same features as that 2015. Except for the color, they are almost exactly alike.

+David Davis I have a 2015 F150 Supercab with the same engine and I get 20.5 mpg overall. If the reviewer is getting less than me, he must be hard on the throttle the whole time.

I think some reviews are harsh on it comparing it to a Dodge Charger or Chrysler 300 I do think the 300 is taller but the parts are cheaper inside and also an overall comparisons I've read thousands upon thousands horror stories about Dodge Chrysler Motors clogging up with sludge build up and breaking the motor I'd rather risk it with Ford best purchase I've ever made

12/6/18, I have this car (AWD), so far, being retired, I've only got 22k mi. on it. Trust me, 6cyl/288hp is more than adequate. I seem to get better mileage on 92 octane; I added a trailer hitch, considering upgrading headlamps. Can anyone tell me what those useless bottom lamps are? They only come on when you open the doors, they're not DRL.

hard to compare the two. i think they're both good for their aimed audiences, though. mustang is good for the sporty driver and taurus is good for someone who wants big and comfortable.

SHO is a reliable luxury car, fuel pump does go out on people, and can hold its own against 5.0, SS, STI, and R/Ts, easily tuned to take on more cars like vettes, very comfortable car and affordable. I'm a little bais because i own one and love red light drags or alittle street justice when others tailgate or drive crazy, SHO never disappoints to show the trims above they are not as fast as they think, but this is for 2013 and older, i have yet to race the redesigned 15 5.0, sound quality is great for stock aswell
