At around 13:00 you talk about greasing the pins, do you have a recommended grease by chance that you use?

Hello I have a jaguar xes 3.0 2017 which is disappearing / lowering the coolant and I can't find the place. I found nothing in the water pump and no liquid leaks onto the floor. Do you have any idea where the coolant is disappearing? I am from BRAZIL
@Meendn2 жыл бұрын
I have the same car with the same problem. I topped up the coolant and made sure the cap clicked at least 4 times when twisting it back on. It has been fine now for about 2 months. No coolant smell when the engine is hot and no loss of coolant. I think that it was nothing more than a slightly loose cap.

Did you ever find out what the issue was? I have the exact same issue!

@@Cyanide999 Jaguar makes endless tubes. Unfortunately over time they leak between the cracks and the water pump also breaks. All 3 pipes must be replaced, two at the front and one at the back above the engine. They create cracks and the liquid evaporates through them due to the heat. Then the O-ring, which goes on the water pump tube, must be replaced every 3 years, and the thermostatic valve has a reserve.

@@winnerman5801 Replace those large hoses in front with 3rd party metal units. No more cracks. My XF 3.0 SC runs great but Jag screwed up the coolant hoses. I have leaks every 2 1/2 years. I'm done with Jags. My 2 other 16 years old cars have no leaks, just a water pump replace once.
