I am tired after watching this, yet I did not walk a step. That was a steep climb! Thanks so much, very enjoyable.

I really appreciate this walkthrough video. We did the mid-level to the Peak and was confused halfway to the top. Your video helped us assuring we were on the right track. It was indeed a steep climb but we enjoyed everything!

I enjoy your videos. For someone like me who has not been to HK for about 5 years they both bring back memories and the desire to go back. Well done. When I went to the Peak during my last visit, I did not know about the Old Peak Road and instead. But for those interested, the Bus stop to the Peak or to the Peak Tram Terminus can be found in the same location under the walkway overpass in Central shortly after leaving the Star Ferry Terminal. I think it is bus 15C to the Peak Tram Terminus or bus 15 to go all the way to the Peak.

Sorry I accidentally deleted part of the 2nd sentence - What I was saying in that sentence was that I went by the ordinary commuter bus up to the Peak on that occasion, but coming down I used the Peak Tram funicular. Of the two I enjoyed the commuter bus more because it provided terrific views over HK. I also ended that sentence by saying that as a result of watching this video I intend to add a walk up the old Peak Road to my itinerary next time I visit as it kind of looks fun.

Thanks so much for doing the hard yards to make this and your other videos on Hong Kong.!!!!... You really have opened my eyes to how clean, modern HKG is... I am very keen now to visit HKG, wish I had in the past instead of going to Brisbane AU on my last big trip there.....Thanks again...Laurie Central Otago New Zealand

Thank you so much for sharing this video! We will be going to Hong Kong for the first time on the following days. This is really a great help for us. I have now understood that we can just ride a ferry to go to HK Central since we will be staying in Tsim Sha Tsui. It is also a plus factor that we can be able to experience the longest escalator of the world and be able to see and feel what is like living in HK. We are all excited for this travel. Still watching your other videos! Thank u so much.

I really enjoy your videos of Hong Kong. They let me see much more of the city than my few days allowed me to, as well as letting me revisit the places I did see. Hong Kong is one of the greatest cities in the world. I wish I could go back, but airfare is so expensive and 15 hours in a plane each way. Ouch!

hongkongmap Oh, just thought up one more: Cape Collinson Road between Shek O Road and Chai Wan. I walked that to get back from Dragon's Back and was humbled by Sai Wan Military Cemetery, which honors the men who tried to repel the Japanese invasion in 1941. Would be great if you could walk the cemeteries on Collinson.

This will be included in my itinerary but I would not do it in the middle of the day and under 30+ temperature. May be not the Old Peak Road either. That will give me a heart attack. Thanks for the walk again. Wonderful.

The escalators lead you to Conduit Street? Does it take 40 minutes to walk from Conduit Street to The Peak? Is it a hard walk? Also, what is the difference between "The Peak" and "Victoria Peak"?

Thank you so much for this realistic walking tour of Hong Kong! One question: Why was the Star Ferry so empty? I always pictured it as overcrowded. Seems like there was hardly anyone on it.
Well, I would suggest return of "neon sign" instead, new technology is available to replace old neon sign, however depends on government attitude. This is what makes HK unique. Again, I will wait for 3 years, why? I will tell you why then.

I remember that in the 1970s the English name for 尖沙咀 was Salisbury. It seems that this term is no longer used. I had not interest in knowing what it means in Britain, only that later in the US I learned that it is a name of a beef steak.

In regards to those Worlds Longest Escalators, extreamly surprised that they Didnt Install them on BOTH side like I saw in the video, making those people on the other side have to walk down ALL those steps, would you happen to know why they there only installed the escalators on one side like that? ]
I was told that the elevators were mainly designed for commuters going to and from work. So they run down hill in the morning then at some point are changed to run up hill so people can go home at the end of day (and go sight seeing).

In regards to thew escalator systems that they have there, Noticed at quite a few places they only have them on ONE side of the walkways, and the other side is stairs, guessing the3y think that walking DOWN stairs is not as difficult as walking up them, only thing I could think of at the present time
Hong kong is the best when I grow up I am movin here :D
