Best team of commentators ever!! LSV, Willoughby and the girl who makes accurate comments and isn't annoying.

How come no one noticed the blatant misplay by Martin Dang? If he destroys Spider Umbra the Daybreak Coronet would fall of by being attached to an illegal target (as it's no longer enchanted), damage happens and the Scout dies. I know Boggles is not a deck you play very much against, but this is the World Championship, losing a game like that should not happen...

+1 to mtg/wizards for including a female commentator. For her first time I think Jackie did a good job. Don't understand why people are saying really harsh negative things about her commentating. Don't let that discourage you Jackie!

Afi John She didn't really add anything new . They basically added her for the sjw points

albakingification sjws will ask for more. Trust me. White commentators stepping down coz of 'white privilege', men removed coz of 'mansplaining', trans or non binary players demanding to be called the 'correct pronouns' etc etc. I've seen some real sjw shit. This is just wotc trying to be more inclusive. For the record I'm neither a liberal nor a conservative. I consider myself an objectively neutral person. Just to be clear I have no issues with transpersons. In fact I watch judge April, the cube connoiseur and listen to Erin on her podcast too. I just have an issue with people claiming there are billions of genders, apologizing for being white etc etc. Just to clarify that I am far from intolerant. I'm just reasonable.

at 18:25, the Beast Within, if you did that on the Spider Umbra wouldn't the daybreak coronet have fallen off as the creature is no longer an enchanted creature? Then the scout would have died as well.
@juanamaral15708 жыл бұрын
+Judson Stangler yup that would have worked and been a better play.

Wait, dark citadel is still an artifact even with blood moon on board?
@Lbgroff9 жыл бұрын
+Jace Belerin Of course, the same way a Dryad Arbor is still a 1/1 Land Creature - Mountaint Dryad. Blood Moon removes all abilities and changes all land subtypes to Mountain (which implicitly add Tap: R) but doesn't remove other card types. The Darksteel Citadel is no longer indestructible, but still an artifact.

@jayjayson96139 жыл бұрын
yeah I agree, I have no idea what the heck is going on. Being newish to Magic, Im not familiar with many of these cards
@Yudaja9 жыл бұрын
+jay jayson well isn't in any sport / commentary like this? if you are new to something you don't understand a lot. Magic is kind of extreme, but as soon as you are more into the game / format you get to know most of the played cards.
@jayjayson96139 жыл бұрын
Patrick Kistler yeah thats true. Comes with time, I ve been playing Magic for less than a year but been getting better with how to understand & play the game. I'm just more familiar with recent cards.
@Yudaja9 жыл бұрын
jay jayson yes, it will get better as soon as you get involved with the format which is displayed :) for me, i will be hard to follow the standard matches, thus i don't play standard by myself.

Dustin Davidson if there is some deviation in the quality of your shuffles you will end up on the winning side if you combine it with a pile shuffle.

+Teddy “Undeadtech” Lamm There's this thing called cutting the deck that Sigrist definitly did
@LordMigit9 жыл бұрын
+Teddy “Undeadtech” Lamm It clearly got shuffled near to the bottom. It was on the bottom of the stack, then got splice shuffled three times, which keep cards that are near the bottom at the bottom, the same for cards at the top, but randomizes quite well in the middle. Also Sigrest cut the deck.

Mtg Modern format is so dead, nobody plays anything else than "the top 10 decks". And if you do play any other deck, you are "noob".
@Animelover1593579 жыл бұрын
+Fran Loop (フォッグ) These people are trying to win, not enjoy a game of Magic. You have to understand they have to play the best decks, otherwise there's no point in them being there, if they are just going to lose a majority of their matchups. Modern can be much more diverse in your local meta, but for the pros, their team would say "We are all going to play Bogles, because it does well in the current meta." so that adds on to the lack of diversity
@franortegaguardia83619 жыл бұрын
+Anthony Park I've seen awesome competitive decks that have nothing to do with the ones "in the top 10 decks"
@MagicPlayer179 жыл бұрын
+Fran Loop (フォッグ) I can guarantee you haven't
@maxismydog1019 жыл бұрын
+Fran Loop (フォッグ) Lol I love comments like these. People like you fail to realize that these pros have already tested out all of the "non-top 10 decks" out there and guess what? they suck compared to the others. And for most people, winning is more fun than losing. So if you want to break from the norm and play a donkey deck then go ahead, thats totally fine, but you cant complain about people playing the top decks cause just like its fun for you to be "creative and so edgy" its fun for others to win and be successful and find a top tier deck they enjoy
@Nic17009 жыл бұрын
+Fran Loop (フォッグ) When there's lots of money, pro points, and a title on the line, and those things matter to you, why would you play a deck that's merely competitive when you could play one that is on the short list for being the best? At your local tournaments go ahead and play your sick brew. Hell if you're at the World Championship and all the prizes don't matter to you, still play your brew. That doesn't make you a noob, you just have different priorities.
