L.A. Martinez well, I bought an E550 coupe 2 years ago for around 70k. The CLA250 is pretty cheap. It's not like you'll be paying 30k straight or else the IRS will come knocking on your door. But for what the car cost, people normally don't pay as much monthly for it unlike other classes.

Love this car! Currently have a 2015 CLA250 4Matic with the Sport Package Plus. Owned it for 3 years now and have 80k miles. Gets good MPG, drives good, sounds good and never had any problems with it. Only complaints would be turbo lag, no apple carplay and leg/headroom for people in the back

@@3Ftheblessing I’m at 102,000 miles now. Besides oil change services, I had to replace the drive belt at 100,000 miles for $130 at the dealer & replaced both stabilizer links for $120. Besides that I had to change the rear differential at 77,000 miles, but it was covered by the Extended Warranty. I still have my Extended Warranty till May 2022

I much prefer using a knob instead of getting fingerprints all over the navigation screen for commands. My last car had the touch controls, and I had to constantly wipe the screen down like I had OCD because the fingerprints were driving me nuts lol. Anyway, I've liked the CLA250 ever since it came out in 2014. My father owned a 2007 CLS63 AMG that I have a couple of videos of, and I absolutely loved the styling and the rest of that car, so I definitely like this type of styling along with the VW CC. Nice review.

I never felt that the CLA and GLA lived up to the Mercedes-Benz moniker, but as the next generations are being introduced, it’s very clear how much thought designers and engineers have put into making them truly excellent vehicles. These were decent vehicles to own and drive, peppy and unique, but lacked the quality and pizzazz of higher-tier Benz models. The new CLA is really shaping up to be a great option! The new A-Class is outstanding too! And having these more attainable entry-level vehicles has allowed the new C-Class to go back up market and become the compact executive saloon it once was!

$30k will get you a basic cheap looking Benz. if you want all the extra features like performance exhaust and moonroof it will cost you. you will end up paying closer to $45k...not cheap.

Nice review Redline. Just bought one myself and was looking for some supporting evidence for a couple of issues i have with it. I agree the Mercedes box is a slow to respond and little jerky. Also road noise is excesive. Sounds like my bearings are on the way out. Ive only got 13000 on the clock. Considering its supposed to be the most aerodynamic production car on the road (quietest for wind noise) it makes up for it on the road noise. Might by a BMW next time.

Add a very few options and you're into $41k territory. Ugh. And for a warmed over Passat. Personally both are off the list because I'm a "no cabin noise" kind of guy. Especially for this money.

+nhprman Even if you buy a higher up MB it will come with the crappy Continental Conti Pro Contact tires either in RFT or non RFT. Noisy as hell, wear out quickly and ride poorly. I switched over to Continental Extreme Contact DWS and got a far better ride and they're far quieter.

Absolutely love my 2014 CLA! People who are harsh on it have never driven it and just complain about a bad suspension which isn't even necessarily true. It has a tight sports suspension if u don't want that spend more for air suspension on the E class and up then. Thing drives like it has more hp than it does.
