Do you not see the irony in saying my English skills are poor when your comments are the moronic ones? I really do appreciate your determination to try to sound intelligent though. MCSL is a great league in terms of competition and fun and is where Katie Ledecky and Mike Barrowman (world record holder in 200 Breast 1992-2002) also swam as kids.

+Izzle Chick add some breastroke to arms while maintaining constant dolphin kicks then remove breastroke gradually. This method familiarises yourself to distance fly and one day you will make it even over 200m.
@sarahshoemaker61508 жыл бұрын
Minh H. Nguyen Thanks! I will definitely try it! I came late to swimming, and so I didn't have long to build up endurance. I kind of jumped in and hoped for the best. And then joined winter, and repeated the process. All help is greatly appreciated.

I trained in gifted sport team as a kid and keep this healthy habit as adult til now. I kinda discovered this tip myself when searching for way to complete my 500m fly. 6 months ago, I hardly can finish 100m. You may be amazed by the distance covered by this hybrid style at first attempt as I was. If it works, let me know! It means I'm on the right track for my distance fly

What I thought before swimming 20 fly: *Swimming 200 fly* "THIS HURTS SO FRICKIN MUCH" *After 200 fly* "PRAISE THE LORD I'M SO PROUD OF MY SELF" What I think after swimming 200 fly. "This isn't that bad, I have a good strat!"
@sarahshoemaker61508 жыл бұрын
+Lauren Clark It's my event, I swim in almost every meet. I swear, my coach wants to murder me.
@laurenclark99548 жыл бұрын
Izzle Chick 200 fly isn't that bad because I am a butterflyer The strategy is to NOT SPRINT AT ALL for the first 175. I am 10 and my best 100 fly time is a 1:11 and when I went easy it was a 1:13 WITHOUT a fast skin (Because in races I naturally go faster). I wasn't really that tired after swimming it. But my arms hurt a little. Also body dolphin as far as you can, it can really help. My total time was a 2:36, so I'm in the top 10 for 11 year old girls for that event :D Anyways good luck swimming that event all the time, my coach is making it, "My event". o: (If you body dolphin a lot you won't get so tired)
@laurenclark99548 жыл бұрын
Why did I explain all of that.... Well good luck with all that butterfly :p
@sarahshoemaker61508 жыл бұрын
Lauren Clark Wow! Very talented! Good luck with your stroke! Yeah, I'm a butterflier too, but it doesn't change the fact that I always go out a little too fast XD. I have that habit in all my races. I got out fast, and I bring it back down for the middle, and then sprint the end, and for 200 fly I always get really nervous ad end up shooting out. I am awful under pressure! :D
@laurenclark99548 жыл бұрын
Izzle Chick Ohhhh I understand xD I usually sprint out really fast but I can control it, also if the event seems long, sing "Hello" After a few words you're already done with a 25. :D And thx :p
