I work at a Porsche dealer and the highest MPG i've seen in a Turbo on board display is like 18mpg. I suppose if you drive like grandma and never spool up the turbos its possible. But its also impossible to drive one like that.

A new C7 stingray in 7th gear and eco mode will pull low to mid 30s. I had a 16 /M235i and in eco mode, I drove 150 miles. About 100 highway and 50 in town. I filled up at the exact same pump that day. My computer said I got 33.7, pretty good huh??? My actual mileage calculated, was 35.6!!! So that 3.0 straight 6 turbo is a true MASTERPIECE of engineering. I could believe 28-29mpg in this car. If you drove it like a grandma hahaha

Porsche and Nissan always lie about 0-60MPH times. Porsche underestimate the required time and Nissan exaggerate the figure

Porsche say it's 3.2 Seconds to 60 for this car but you can do it in 2.5 CRAZY

I think when Porsche tests it, they don't use launch control and just step on the gas and start counting from there. You could probably get 3.2 secs if you didn't try as much, but you could get 2.5 secs if you tried your hardest.

Younes Moumni I actually enjoy the singing, it makes listening to technical details less boring. It's actually kind of calming, but more than anything I just love the style, the flare, the quality, the short little back stories behind the cars being reviewed. Honestly I feel like I did not waste my time watching these videos.

At 6:49, Porsche ALWAYS Underestimates It's "Performance Claims". The 911 Turbo will return 30+MPG at 65-70 mph Cruising Speed with the CRUISE CONTROL(as Opposed to Your Right FOOT) Controlling the Cruising. Let the Machine do it's JOB, and it will Preform above your Expectations!!

Being realistic, I would've thought that the R8 V10 and this latest Turbo S aren't even in the same ballpark? I owned an A4 Quattro cabriolet (until someone totaled it 15 months ago) and during that period, my ego wanted to climb the echelons and purchase a 911 Turbo S, not once did I consider an R8, as nice as they are.

manos3790 i have 997 turbo s, i had no problems taking out r8 w10 on autobahns, on straight it still faster, because of instant torque thanks to variable geometry turbine. r8 needs to rev a lot. on other hand r8 w10 PLUS can be a real challenge for a turbo, especially in low speed corners and tracks.

I didn't know it was possible to make a car lighter than a VW Golf. Two decent sided guys can move one by hand. My friend bought one last weekend and we dragged it sideways by hand a foot and a half on the trailer because he sucks ass at loading.

In terms of video quality: yes However, while this guy throws around a lot of numbers, Chris Harris talks a lot more about the driving feel, the emotions it makes you experience and is probably the best driving motor journalist out there ("lets do some skids, shall we?"). I agree, these videos are pretty great, but in my opinion, Chris Harris is still on another level.

I was so close to get a 997 turbo. Unfortunately Porsche policy of not selling parts or other mechanics are not allowed to work on the car, turned me toward gtr. There are garages who can repare a pdk for example but they use parts from other used pdks. Porsche charges you 20k for a broken sensor in a pdk. It's the apple among cars.

Automotive God's I've said it once before and I'll repeat myself here again. Porsche has been able to be the pain in the other supercar makers' sides for DECADES, by being able to keep up and beat their V8's, V10's and V12's... with the PERFECT and smaller 6 cylinder engine. Pure engineering prowess. For all the 911 Turbo fans out there, there is a video on here called the Two Second Club. Please watch it. You'll love the 911 Turbo even more.. One more thing. Jeremy Clarkson said that the air coming out the back is CLEANER than the air going in the front. How does Porsche do that ?

this is my dream car and one day, before I kick the bucket, I will have it ..... so far the fastest car I have owned is a camaro Zl1 but I don't drive it any more since I traded it for a caddy. ( gas, insurance and payments were another mortgage, lol) People have to dream big to get far in life. Nice review, I really enjoyed it.

im not the biggest Porshe fan and just a year ago i didnt like them for the 911's. But ive started to appreciate their cars for engineering when i realised the feats they actually achieved. and to have all these cars in coupe or cab form (except for the GT's) might seem excessive which it can definitely be but think about the customer that might want the targa but he wants to have the fastest 911 available (most powerful one i mean) he can either get a targa GTS or go for a turbo S cab. it is a huge difference but to get either one he doesnt give up much of what he wants if you think about it.

Not sure why he said it's the most advanced Porsche when there's a 900+ hp Hybrid running around. This looks like an ever so slight evolution of the last model with a slight power increase. Great car, but not in 918/veyron/venom gt territory.
