Why would you purchase a vehicle with a well known reputation for poor reliability/durability expensive maintenance and repair as well has horrible resale value? There are several competitors with much better reputations. People who buy used RR's are trying to impress people they will never meet by driving vehicles they can't afford unless it is heavily depreciated.

I had a 2010 RRS supercharged about 5 years ago. (First gen 5.0 V8 engine they used) and Bought it with 101k miles and drove it about 22k miles before selling it. I was the second owner and honestly from my experience it's a great car. A lot of power and fun to drive and will get you through rough winters easily. Sadly I spent about 14k in repairs over the 2 years I had it. A great car overall, but man, I swear some rovers are reliable and some others aren't. A buddy of mine had an 09 Rover Sport SC and had 189k miles back then. Different engine. Had no issues besides bobble head air suspension feel. Luck of the draw in my opinion over time past warranty periods. 100% recommend a warranty if you can get one if you're looking for a Rover

I had a 2008 RR HSE (120K miles) , only issue I had was the suspension burnt was a $2000 fix. The lady that bought my truck is still loving her a year later and no issues. I independently sold it for a 2016 RR (just upgraded) ....... AND I LOVE HER (Midnight is her name). I go off roading, sand driving, trail driving in my 2016 and we have HELLA FUN! She drives better after a day of off-Roading. My boyfriend has a 2014 RR Autobiography, and it’s DEAD! Something went wrong with the engine, we took it to several independent RR service centers, very reputable, and all said it was a $10-15K fix. He had 160k miles and NO engine light ever came on. I’m a RR girl and a TOTAL addict! I’m in (2) car clubs. I need to get an extended warranty as now I’m driving BLIND without one. DANGEROUS ⛔️ I know I’m playing Russian Roulette, I’m praying we’ll hold out and continue to have No issues! If I never upgraded, I would’ve NEVER MET THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!! So outside of the fun and BEAUTY, I’m forever grateful to the brand.

There’s nothing premium, luxurious nor prestigious about having something malfunction all the time/ a “shop car” ! That screams cheap to me. With or without a warranty, Range Rovers have thee worst reliability ! Sure they ride well, look great and are great off road but...👎🏽 Get an MDX, GV80 or even a GX460 (yes it’s dated) & save yourself from having AAA on speed dial & maxing out your credit card !
@MeynMotorGroup3 жыл бұрын

To be fair this is a lot of vehicle for 36k, with a warranty this can be a great deal.
@ascott21683 жыл бұрын
@@insayn7995 the warranty isn’t going to resolve the inconvenience of having to call a tow truck when you’re broken down on the side of the highway and dealing with that, getting a rental car ect !

Extended warranty on RR with 100k will not come cheap. These after-market warranty companies will rip you off. If you can get one from the dealer as part of the sale that's the only way to do it. Buying one from like a Car Shield is going to be a fortune. And then, things can get dicey when filing a claim- should anything go wrong.
