It’s ironic because the medal that was supposed to launch her into fame and get her a lot of respect actually became the downfall of her career. If the IOC had not ruined her by making her believe that she had actually won that medal, she maybe would’ve won a medal on her own merit in the future. We never saw Adelina nor Yulia do well at major competitions after the Olympics in 2014...it's so sad. I love how there's a little glimpse of Evgenia right in the end. She's amazing and I hope she continues to improve this season and hopefully she will be back in 2022. In her era, Russian Nationals were not that competitive compared to now. She was pretty good back then, an Olympic medal material for sure but not Gold. Winning that gold medal in Sochi has been giving her pressure because she must know even a little that she did not deserve it. If she won Bronze, I bet she might have become better skater now. This performance was the only international ISU event she did after Sochi and it's so bad. I might pity her if she didn't act like a brat during the winning interview.
