This is without a doubt my favorite Saban coached Alabama team. Reasons: 1) Pass Rush galore, deep defensive line 2) Workhorse big back with game changing speed+shifty smaller back+elite tight end+elite receiver 3)Jake "Freaking" Coker...he got better as the season progressed. Big arm and stood tough in the pocket. A bit indecisive at times, but a gamer nonetheless.

One of only two games during the 14 year streak (the other was in 2009) where Tennessee legitimately had a shot to win. They really matched up well with Bama in this game.

And they were coached, here, by Butch Jones, who became a vital part of the Alabama coaching staff just a couple of years later. I think it's telling that, once he had the offensive talent to help coach and mold, he could be a hell of a leader. Good luck to him at Arkansas State!

Coker really improved as the season progressed but these early games were hard to watch. He kept holding on to ball and not throwing it away when he had chance.

Just a reminder to any Vols fans who stumble in here: news of a Tennessee football victory over Alabama has never been sent via Twitter on an iPhone :D

Two of them were from over 50 yards away. It wasn't like a Cade Foster performance.

@@thamthmit8310 lol , I will say Tennessee played great, we had no answer for Hooker to Hyatt they were awesome, we overcame that, but Christ so many bad calls and non calls it was ridiculous even the down marker guy tried his damdest to cheat for the voltards, but it is what it is we did blow our chance at the end as well, it ain't so bad, I'm happy with our track record vs Tennessee every 15 years so congratulations on your win but stay tuned...... @@ezmoney5087 if damn Phillip Fulmer stopped hiring bum head coaches then we would be a real rivalry again. After fulmer as the hc he became the ad and hired tards like kiffen(fuck him for what he did) Dooley, butch jones, and that retard Pruitt my god that hire was something else. And the second fulmer gets canned and a competent ad came in and there comes a decent hc.
