2015 Tom WALSH and NZL Rotational throwers observations Shot put training camp Waitakere 2015

Tom WALSH and some of the NZL best young prospects in the shot put were attending this Shot/Discus training camp organized in Waitakere (NZL) by Dale STEVENSON the new "Throws coordinator" of the country in charge of finding the successors of Valerie ADAMS , Tom WALSH and Jacko GILL who are in the moment among the very best throwers in the World. Indeed there are plenty of talented young people in the country but once you count out those who will choose to play rugby (the national sport !) or those who are not ready to do so much work for so little chances of success and reward to become a world class shot putter , there are not so many left . Not even mentioning the fact that some "idiots" (Sorry, I cannot find a better word) are trying to get the shot put out of the Olympic program (Absolute shame for such an historic event !) and this will not help new vocations. Anyways , this video is a good opportunity to observe throwers of different levels , from Tom WALSH , which was the "2014 rookie of the year" when he won the bronze medal at the last indoor World champs , to young throwers still struggling with the fundamentals of the rotational technique.
