Oh so maybe I DON’T have to spend $2000 to fix this? That’s the only solution the dealer gave me today. My car isn’t even 5 years old. I’m definitely going to give this a try. Thanks a million! 🙏🏽 FYI- I did it the next morning. I paired my phone and now the phone, contact list & music work perfectly. I guess the dealership has to make money but a little goodwill goes farther than a couple thousand dollars. Again, thanks for sharing this video! 👍🏽

I have been dreading getting a new phone because of this issue. I researched it about 3 years ago for my 2015 Corolla and it did talk about using a credit card in the corner. But I didn't realize it meant to jam it in between the screen and the plastic. I had to use my driver's license since my debit card was too thick. Thank you for this fix! I found that using the magnet (on my Fitbit band) also works

So ridiculous that this happens. I just got a new phone that a had to be added to Bluetooth and this issue caused major headaches. I used your trick, but used a cheap, super thin, plastic trim pry tool that got in that seam super easy. Thanks for the tip.
