what is an ICE engine?

ICE means Internal Combustion Engine, which means it runs on Internal Combustion, like a gas or diesel engine. Saying ICE engine in my previous title of the video is incorrect since the E in ICE already means engine so I’m sorry about that. Hybrids are a mix of both ICE and electric motors and a battery, electric motors do not run on internal combustion so they are not ICE. Hybrids like the Prius usually start with the electric motor and battery but then in some conditions warm up the ICE and use them as a generator to charge the battery when started, that is what happens at 0:25, you can hear it but it is a bit quiet and see on the display that it is using the ICE.
