I have a 2015 vw passat limited edition Tsi 1.8l approaching 190k miles, no issues. I am a very clean person, so the car looks like it just rolled out of the dealership. I keep up with every service.

I have this car, idk anything about cars, and I am terrible with maintenance. Have driven across the country twice and up and down California more than that. I totally believe if I had any other car it would’ve broken down by now. Don’t be like me but def get this car!

That's ok! Just open your owners manual in the glove box and skip over to "Maintenance". It will tell you what needs to be done at every interval!

2014 Passat SE w/roof bought new Feb of 2014 1.8 with tiptronic trans 162,573 miles. Most reliable trouble free car I've owned in my 66 years. Diligent with maintenance and use BG products EPR, MOA and 44K

My mom and I both have Passats, hers a 17 1.8T and mine a 20 2.0T, hers with 66k and mine with 46k at the time of this post. Hers has had a clock spring replacement, fuel pump replacement and mine a fuel injector harness replacement. Aside from those issues both cars have required normal maintenance and they are so much more rewarding to drive than comparable Japanese and American cars. Can’t go wrong in my opinion.

there’s one on the market near me for about 10k with 100k miles. beautiful car! would be a great first car for me

I have this car. Can anyone suggest which exact apple carplay and andriod play can I retrofit in my car so that the backup camera still works and I get to use the car play. From my research it is RCD330 but I am unsure.

I love these car!!!! I had one, unfortunately I had many problems!!!!! I ended up trading it for a Honda Accord… I will say the Honda Accord is much nicer and reliable beyond my VW !! But I did love my Passat !! One thing I HATED !!! The gas filler door is on the passenger side!!! The Honda is on the driver side!!’ Why walk all the way around the car????? Japanese cars do think about simple things???
